Helping others has always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, so having the opportunity to work as a therapist is a dream come true for me! I work with adolescents, teen , and adults.
Life is amazing, and sometime amazingly hard. There are so many issues going on right now with so many people. From helping adolescents/teens maneuver; young adults believing in themselves and starting their lives; and adults learning to heal and be a better version of themselves, I am here to help with it all. Depression, Anxiety, trauma, and intrusive thoughts can pop up at anytime. Let's get some tools and coping skills to manage them. Take care of you and you will be able to help take care of others. I am also the owner of Sunrise Mental Health Services and we have incredible therapists, there will be someone that is available.

I have loved working with people and helping them find more peace and joy in their lives. I am grateful to have chosen Social Work as a degree, as it has given me the opportunity to work in a variety of areas. I have worked in Adolescent and Adult Residential Treatment, Intensive Outpatient Treatment, Adoption, I've been an On-Call Crisis Worker at the Hospital, a Hospice Social Worker and I still facilitate a Grief and Loss Support Group. All this experience has given me the chance to learn about life and the struggles we all deal with. I have come to believe that we all experience difficulties that can be benefitted by treatment.

Parents, do you feel that your teenager is lost? Have they lost interest in activities that they used to enjoy? Is your teenager refusing to accept boundaries in your home, struggling socially or in school? Or perhaps they are beginning to develop unhealthy habits such as isolating, too much screen time, or beginning to experiment with substance use? Or maybe you have lost yourself? As parents we often become so caught up our children’s lives that we forget to live our own. You are not alone. Right now, you are taking the first step to get help. You are doing something brave!

Steele's commitment to the field of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology extends to each family he works with.
Sometimes parenting can be fraught with challenges, and knowing how best to help your child can be confusing. Whether it's behavior problems, anxiety, depression, educational issues, or chronic illness; these issues do have solutions. The guidance you receive should be from someone with the proper training, who utilizes research-based strategies, and resists the urge to rely solely on their "gut" in a treatment setting. This is the current standard in this modern age of psychological care, and combined with the right interpersonal fit, you and your child's efforts in treatment will be more likely to result in lasting change.

I work with clients 13 years of age and older with mental differences including: ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD , Adjustment Disorders, Military Life, Teen Issues, and Trauma.
Online Telehealth Therapy... I enjoy various approaches to mental health and self-care. I enjoy many pints of ice-cream, bath bombs, a good book, spending time outside, and working out. Most importantly I believe we owe it ourselves, to make sure we are being taken care of and nourished, too, through our own mental health care. My approach to treatment is tailored to fit each person’s specific goals and needs, and I provide a comfortable and safe space for people to express themselves and work through their therapeutic experience.

In addition to being a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with advanced training in child & adolescent trauma treatment, Bailey is also an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT) and trauma informed movement professional.
Maybe you’re just starting your healing journey, or looking for a change - to meet with a therapist who sees you as a whole person, and not just your circumstances. Maybe you’ve tried therapy before but it feels like no one really gets it, or the things that “should” work just don’t. Therapy with Bailey is a little bit different because we have to do things in new ways to start to think and feel better than before. Based out of Pittsburgh, PA and serving clients in Utah through telehealth, this is truly therapy outside the box.

I specialize in working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety and depression in all areas of their lives. Anxiety and depression can affect our lives in so many ways such as: relationship struggles, intimacy, those seeking a feeling of security, wanting to feel trust, over/under achieving, parenting skills, and other emotional difficulties. We all store memories, experiences and emotions in our bodies. Which means, that it’s not just “all in your head”; rather, our bodies hold information we can use as well.

Youth and young adults struggle more with anxiety, depression, suicide ideation, and trauma more today than ever before. Why do we have to wait until our kids are suicidal, shutting down, have addictions or even criminal behavior before we get them help. Everyone wants to grow up and live a happy and successful life and now with over half of our young adults failing to launch in life, we've got to do more for them.

Recovery from substance use and mental health disorders is unique to each person. There is no "one path to recovery". I firmly believe in meeting people where they are in their journey and helping them find the path that will work best for their unique needs. I am passionate about integrating "traditional" therapeutic practices with "Complementary and Alternative Medicine", such as meditation and yoga. The research behind using these practices is clear that they increase people's mental health and overall wellbeing.

Your time is valuable and your needs are very important. Think about your goals and what you want to accomplish in therapy, or set a goal or goals, so that your search will include a therapist who is experienced in the area(s) you need help in. Some of you need to keep discrete about coming to therapy, some need to fulfill a request. Whatever it is you need I'm someone who has been around a while and can help you answer your questions. Whatever the need is I can help you figure out what is going on and ways to deal with it, so you can find respite.

Struggling with chronic pain is devastating. It is exhausting and disheartening to continually look for answers and have those hopes crushed time and time again. Though it may seem too good to be true, Pain Reprocessing Therapy really can bring you relief. This works because pain is processed through warning signals sent to our brains. Pain can be extremely helpful when we’re actually in danger, but sometimes our brains get stuck in fear and learn to interpret safe sensations as dangerous. This causes our brains to send warning signals when there is no real threat.

Teen Therapists

What does therapy for teenagers look like?

When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?

There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?

You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
