Life brings unexpected challenges and traumas—some brief, others long-lasting. In the midst of this, we often lose touch with our inner voice, neglect our needs, and begin to believe negative core beliefs. This can lead to cycles of anxiety, depression, and difficulty in relationships and daily life. Together, we’ll work to break these patterns, heal from trauma, and reconnect with your true self. My goal is to help you rediscover your inner serenity, strengthen your self-awareness, and build the tools needed for lasting growth and change.

Do you wake up every morning and think "I can’t get out of bed”? It seems like too much right now! You peel yourself out of bed anyway, because you know you have to get going. You have to do all the “things” to make the world function for the humans in your life, but some days it feels like too much. You think this shouldn’t be this hard. I should know what to do and yet you still don’t make any change. You turn on the podcasts and the audiobooks, but no matter how many you listen to you just cannot get yourself to make lasting change. If you could just talk this out maybe you would not feel so stuck and so alone.

Hi, I’m Tori. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, body image struggles, chronic illness, trauma, ADHD, burnout, and life transitions. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed by perfectionism, intrusive thoughts, emotional exhaustion, or the pressure to keep functioning while silently struggling underneath.
I believe therapy should feel collaborative, grounding, and authentic. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to slow down, better understand yourself, and respond to life with more self-compassion instead of shame or criticism.

You were never meant to carry this alone.
So many people I work with are deeply devoted to their families, their faith, and their communities and yet they’re quietly struggling. The pressure to be present, capable, and joyful in every role can be exhausting. When a new baby arrives, when grief sets in, when the weight of old wounds starts to surface, it can feel like something is wrong with you. It isn’t.
I believe we each hold an innate capacity for healing and wholeness. My work is about helping you find your way back to that to the peace, clarity, and connection that can feel so out of reach in hard seasons of life.

We all have moments in our lives when we feel stuck, disconnected, or out of balance. During this time of global uncertainty, reaching out for support is more important than ever. My passion is working with those who are looking to explore the challenging interaction cycles that get in the way of feeling safe and connected.
In our work together, I will encourage you to embrace both accountability and vulnerability. Rather than diving straight into the heart of your challenges, I will equip you with tools and walk alongside you.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.
How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.
How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
