I'm as comfortable working with a client feeling mildly stuck as one who is in unrelenting crisis. I have many years of experience working with clients with complex trauma, grief, BPD, depression, anxiety, compulsive behaviors, existential and faith struggles, and life changes. Clients that I work with find clarity regarding their deepest values and confidence in living in the present. They heal and grow. I believe in the ability for humans to transform and change and to make healthy change in the world around them. I believe deep acceptance and self-compassion are very important to these processes.

Many people feel unhappy and disconnected from themselves and the people they love. If you are wondering if there is anything you can do to strengthen yourself and your relationships, there are answers. New coping skills can help you see yourself and your relationships differently, new brain techniques can help resolve old traumas, and current research can bring understanding. It's never too late to look at your life differently and change what's happening in your world.

My name is Jen and I see clients on telehealth who reside in Utah. I take a holistic, whole person approach and I believe in centering my clients lived experience, leading with compassion, respect, and the belief that all humans have limitless potential. As a therapist, it is extremely important to me to create a warm, safe, welcoming space where you feel you can be your most authentic self. As an integrative therapist, I pull from therapy frameworks that I believe will be best to meet your goals in therapy, which most often include CBT, psychodynamic theory, narrative therapy, and aspects of feminist theories.

We experience difficulties. We are all worthy of love and belonging. I provide a safe haven, a supportive non-judgmental place to grow and heal. I enjoy sharing the journey as motivated individuals and couples release patterns which no longer serve them, while discovering their strengths, resilience, goals, and, new ways of being and sharing. Sometimes, we need to acknowledge our limitations and reach for help to find our way. Automatic nervous system predictions linked to traumatic experiences can trigger collapse, derail skills, make self-value feel conditional, and make relationships feel unsafe. Under pressure, these predictions can intensify emotional dysregulation and leave people stuck in reactions they cannot think their way out of. Most methods focus on recovery after activation: trigger → collapse → self-regulate → recover → repair. Recovery matters but the cycle continues. My work targets the predictive patterns underneath the reaction, so steadiness, self-value, skills, and connection stay accessible under pressure, in high-stakes moments.

Are you experiencing the effects of trauma, or seeking ways to express grief and loss? I'm a dedicated practitioner of EMDR and other transformative healing modalities. Trauma can alter our lives profoundly, echoing into our adult years. While sometimes our minds and bodies can process these events independently, often, we need additional support to release and express this energy. Whether you're dealing with recent stressors or long-standing issues, I'm here to support you on your journey toward healing. I believe deeply in the power of our innate inner wisdom—that each of us possesses everything necessary for our own healing.

I founded Alpine Psychotherapy and Consulting with the belief that anyone seeking help deserves to receive expert mental health services in a compassionate, caring, personable, and professional atmosphere. You deserve to have a professional who operates from a solid theoretical base and has expertise in the methods they are using. If you are looking for someone who doesn't just have you "come in and talk about your feelings", but rather takes a targeted and research-proven approach to healing, give me a call or email me.

You have done everything right. The career, the credentials, the discipline. And yet something is not working and you cannot quite name it. The exhaustion that does not lift. The chronic pain that has no clear physical cause. The growing sense that the same drive that got you here is making it harder to feel anything good about where you are. I work with high-functioning professionals, physicians, attorneys, founders, and executives who are stuck in this exact pattern. Not because they lack insight. Because the pattern runs deeper than insight alone can reach.

You may be successful on the outside yet feel stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about who you are or where you’re headed. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware, but find themselves repeating patterns, struggling in relationships, or weighed down by anxiety, grief, or emptiness. Therapy can be a space to move beyond coping and cultivate a more authentic connection with yourself.

You just want to heal. You may look functional on the outside, but inside you feel overwhelmed, numb, anxious, or stuck in patterns you can’t think your way out of. You might be exhausted from holding it together, constantly on alert, or disconnected from your body and emotions. Talking has helped you understand why you feel this way, but insight alone hasn’t brought relief. Healing happens when your nervous system feels safe enough to soften and reset. I offer a somatic, trauma-informed approach that helps you regulate, release stored pain, and rebuild trust with yourself so you can feel steady, present, and fully alive.

Transpersonal Therapists
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
