I believe we all have within us what it takes to grow, heal, and work towards our goals, and I am honored to be a part of this journey with my clients. If you’re not sure what to expect from counseling, that’s okay! Working with me starts with getting to know your story, what you’re struggling with, and what your goals are. You can ask me questions about my training, experience, and philosophy to help you determine if I could be a good fit for you.

For my clients, their mantra is “I just want everyone to be happy.” They wanted and worked hard for a happy family. It's not that things are dysfunctional, but their kids are interested in hanging out with friends. They know this is normal but it still hurts. Their partner seems relatively unphased by the shift as the kids leave. Their partner continues their usual routines of work, hobbies, and friends. They feel alone. They realize without their very active role of mother, they made it to middle age and they don't know who they are, what they find fun in, and what they're interested in.

My top priority as a therapist is to support people in being who they genuinely are. I am interested in the beauty which exists within the complexities of our most difficult experiences and predicaments. I try to understand these challenges as unique poetries, which can be both brutally painful and exquisitely fascinating, rather than as diagnoses or problems to be fixed. I strive to prioritize the dynamics of the therapeutic relationship as the most essential means in therapy of exploring your inner world. At times this will be challenging, at other times validating, and always coming from a place of respect for you as a person.

I believe the foundation of therapy is a strong counselor-client relationship where one feels safe, seen, heard, and accepted. As a queer, transgender, and neurodivergent counselor I know that this can be hard to find in relationships and want you to feel the solace of these qualities throughout our work. Together we will explore the things that have shaped your ways of being, and identify, challenge and shift the beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve you. I welcome feedback and pledge diligence, and accountability in our work together. I look forward to supporting you as you change, heal, and move forward authentically.
