I also have certified trainings in trauma, hoarding, depression, and more.
Anxiety can overwhelm us when a situation is important or meaningful. If it wasn't important, then anxiety wouldn't be there at all. When mental health is compromised, what is most important becomes affected, such as relationships, health, and spirituality. Somehow you've be able to push through until now. If you're exhausted, lost, and hopeless, I can help. We will work on gaining insight to understand what's going on in your life, and what to do about it. Often healing occurs along the way. You will use your strengths and gain skills. You CAN overcome what is holding you back. You CAN engage with the important parts of life again.

My ideal client might feel disconnected from their body, carrying tension, pain, or emotions they can’t fully name. They may be navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, chronic pain, or identity shifts, seeking a safe, collaborative space to explore healing. They want to feel grounded, release what is held in the body, and reconnect with creativity, joy, and self-trust. Together, we integrate movement, breath, and therapeutic insight to restore ease, resilience, and a more profound sense of wholeness.

Hi there, I'm Jennie! If you have been in and out of therapy over a long period of time & been less than satisfied with results, then I welcome you to consider choosing me as a provider. I am often seen as a therapist of "last resort" for very complicated trauma situations and I receive great satisfaction helping my clients unravel the mysteries of their life stories. I realize that deciding to look at your past in order to make sense of your present life and create a more hopeful, meaningful future takes a lot of courage, commitment and insight.

You're the person everyone else counts on. At work, in your relationships, in every room you walk into. And yet, despite everything you accomplish, something won't let up: intrusive thoughts, anxiety that shadows every decision, the exhaustion of never fully switching off. Many of the people I work with are outwardly successful and privately carrying more than anyone around them knows. I provide a confidential, focused, and evidence-based space designed to support clarity, emotional stability, and meaningful, lasting change in both personal and professional life.

As a mental health counselor, it has always been my privilege to work alongside clients. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and the connection that derives our humanity. Each individual has such a personal experience in which their life has been based. I believe in meeting clients where they are at, working toward personal goals, tailoring interventions to meet these needs, and challenging individuals to make changes that ultimately lead to the development of a life in which they feel they can thrive.

Life with OCD, anxiety disorders, BDD (body dysmorphic disorder), BFRBs (skin picking, hair pulling), or the effects of lingering trauma can suck the joy out of life. When these issues become draining, please know there is real hope; you do not have to face this alone. Understanding your issues without experiencing actual change can be discouraging. I want to help you find and build solutions and real change so that you can enjoy life and thrive. Through specialized therapeutic modalities like ACT, EMDR, I-CBT, and ERP, I've helped many find peace and fulfillment and get their lives and selves back.

You can live the life you’ve imagined for yourself and therapy is crucial for functioning well in life. For over a decade, I have walked with individuals, families, and couples as they transform to their next best version of themselves. Offering a safe place to process, bring to the light, and integrate. Life throws us trauma, hardships, relationships issues, ect. These experiences often live not only in our thoughts, but within the nervous system, mind and body and it can lead to things feeling “off”. Therapy offers an opportunity to gently process these experiences, cultivate resilience, and reconnect with your inner wisdom.

Hoarding Therapists
What is the most effective treatment for hoarding?
Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) has been well-studied in the treatment of hoarding. This type of therapy includes changing beliefs surrounding possessions, as well as learning how to discard items and reduce acquisitions. The hoarder may also gain much-needed organizational skills. Another useful therapy may be compassion-focused therapy, which can address emotion regulation and negative self-perception.

How long does therapy for hoarding take?
Although treatment can vary, most people demonstrate improvement after 23 sessions, with some showing improvement after just a few sessions. Researchers have developed a 26-session cognitive behavioral program. People who hoard may need “maintenance” sessions over the years if the problem arises repeatedly.

Are there medications for hoarding?
The more commonly-prescribed medications for hoarding are including antidepressants, including selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), and serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs). This can include drugs such as venlafaxine and paroxetine. And because hoarding disorder is related to obsessive-compulsive disorder, medications for OCD, such as clomipramine, may be effective for hoarding as well.

Can hoarding come back after treatment?
Hoarding is a chronic disorder and it can last throughout an individual’s lifetime. Regularly checking in with a psychotherapist can help manage symptoms long-term. A good therapist will help the person learn needed skills including decision-making, organization, and stress reduction. The patient will gain a better perspective and the need to cling to useless items will lessen.
