A wise artist once said, "The truth is, I need help, but I just can't imagine who I'd be if I was happy." It's common to feel more comfortable in a state of depression, anxiety, or stress when these have been your only companions. What would it be like if you were happy? I am not here to promise a constant state of happiness, but I will promise that I will accompany and support you in your journey toward healing and peace.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with years of experience in providing therapeutic counseling in end-of-life situations. Through personal and professional experiences, I have developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by families with declining loved ones. One day, I received a call from my dad letting me know that my mom could not move, and he needed help. When I arrived, she was on the floor crying extremely confused. My dad and I got her into the car, and to the hospital, which she was diagnosed with a stroke. They told me that when she would be stable she would need to go to a skilled nursing faciltiy.

In my mind, the ideal client is someone who has recognized that some aspect of their life is no longer working and is ready to take steps to restore balance. This person is seeking help to get their life back on track. I enjoy working with a variety of clients, including individuals, couples, and families. The people who seek counseling to validate that change is necessary, and who desire professional guidance to collaborate in identifying their natural strengths (or at least their potential capabilities) to overcome difficulties, tend to be goal-oriented. My hope is that my warm and inviting office atmosphere, and a safe space.

Are you ready to think differently? I work with free thinkers—or those aspiring to be—by challenging preconceived notions to spark lasting change. In Utah Valley, so many suffer in silence from broken connections—with partners, friends, family, or even themselves. Not you. Not anymore. Veritas' motto, 'Healing through connection,' drives my work. I’ll help you find clarity and then take bold, actionable steps toward healing—if you dare.

Sometimes parts of our life can feel overwhelming and debilitating. It can be difficult to know who to turn to and what to do. I recognize how important it is to have someone to provide tools and techniques to reach a point of healing. My approach to therapeutic treatment is to work collaboratively with my clients. I have worked with adults, couples, college students, and teens with a range of experiences including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, marital or relationship issues, family relational concerns, grief support, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. No matter what you may be battling, there is hope for healing.

You may be familiar with the feeling of hearing your baby crying and wanting to hide. Or perhaps you have come looking for a therapist after your latest conversation with your partner left you feeling more alone and frustrated than before. Or anxiety has you awake at 4 am, staring at the ceiling and planning for a tragedy that feels so likely, despite evidence to the contrary. It is possible for life to feel different than it does now. My intent is for clients to leave my office feeling understood and hopeful. My goal is to empower you in the therapy room, so you can leave therapy and practice doing something different.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with children, teens, adults, and couples in a variety of settings, including residential treatment centers, non-profits, rehabilitation programs, and community-based outpatient therapy. I’m passionate about supporting diverse and underserved communities and believe that therapy should always acknowledge the unique cultural contexts, lived experiences, and systemic challenges that shape our mental health.

I understand how beginning therapy for the first time or re-entering therapy can be a stressful experience. Finding a qualified therapist is important, but you also want to find a therapist you connect with personally and who you can trust with your thoughts and feelings. My education gives me the qualifications, but my life experience provides the connection and empathy needed to guide or support you as we explore together the challenges that brought you to therapy and how to overcome them.

I specialize primarily in therapy for ADHD, while also helping individuals navigate anxiety and depression. Additionally, I work with athletes on improving both mental health and sports performance. I am an attachment focused therapist that helps clients focus on connecting with their experience, moving them towards a better understanding of self and away from the pursuit of trying to fix themselves. Those I work with often report this perspective and approach enables them to move forward in their lives, despite the challenges and difficulties they face.
