I am trained in Brainspotting (similar to EMDR), sandtray therapy, and cognitive therapies which foster emotional healing, calm worry, and increase inner peace.
We all experience challenging seasons in our lives and reaching out for support is a courageous step. Whether you are moving through a difficult time yourself or trying to help your child cope with big feelings and challenging behaviors, there is assistance. Possibly you are struggling with the effects of trauma or finding it difficult to manage life's worries. Or you are uncertain about how to help your child and are searching for guidance and solutions. You may just want someone to talk to find ways to regain balance, hope, and happiness. No matter what season you are in, I may be a good fit to support you through it.

I specialize in helping adults heal from trauma and overwhelm using EMDR, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
You may feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to be yourself after everything you’ve been through. You’ve spent so long holding it all together that it’s hard to slow down or feel safe in your own skin. My clients often want relief from the weight of past experiences and a way to feel more at peace and connected to themselves.

Our therapy centers around Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, EMDR, DBT, and CBT to get to the root of your challenges.
Still stuck after years of therapy? There may be underlying factors that haven’t been addressed. While talk therapy is essential, true healing often requires more. Our team of therapists combines counseling with integrative psychiatry services, including gut microbiome health, nutritional support, genetics evaluation, ketamine therapy, and medication management—helping us achieve deeper, lasting results beyond talk therapy alone.

Drawing from cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, interpersonal therapy, and trauma-focused therapies such as Brainspotting, Accelerated Processing, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), I create a supportive environment that encourages self-exploration and growth.
My goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. As the clinical director of South Point Counseling Services, I have gathered a team of clinicians that are committed to providing outstanding services. I believe that lasting changes come from identifying the source of problems, working within the context of the family and challenging/changing dysfunctional beliefs. In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, I have presented at national conferences and to general audiences, speaking on the topics of Anger Management, Depression, Marital Relationship, and Cultural Diversity.

My main treatment modalities are Brainspotting and EMDR.
I love to work with couples too! My trauma background helps me to pinpoint why you and your partner are reacting to each other the way that you are. My sex therapy training helps me to treat intimacy problems. I also practice attachment therapy, and will assess each of you to better understand your "attachment style" for even greater understanding.

Hello, My name is Liliana and I work at Utah Lakes Neuroscience Mental Health Center, where we take an integrative approach to Mental Health and Trauma Therapy. Do you feel lost, lonely, scared, helpless? Have you had enough BIG reactions to little events that just leave you feeling so heavy and defeated. Does it all begin with an endless pit in your stomach, or your heart racing so fast you think you're going to spin out of control. Can you feel it right now as you read this? Are you wanting for someone to give you answers, understand you, or just listen without judgement, or preconceived ideas of who you are?

Somatic forms of therapy such as EMDR and Brainspotting help to adjust this lens by integrating and fully reprocessing adverse experiences.
I mainly utilize an intensives approach to therapy compared to more traditional hourly sessions. In a brief consultation, we carefully consider your therapy goals and length of time needed to accomplish your goals, typically anywhere from 2-4 days. I use a trauma informed, holistic approach with EMDR, Brainspotting, and IFS at the forefront of treatment.

Life can get complicated and there is no handbook on how to handle things like depression, anxiety, addiction and relationship problems. It is important to know two things: 1. you are not alone, 2. challenges are always opportunities to grow and change your life. You are probably here because it's time to "do something different." Let us help guide you through this journey!

I am an expert in working with life long trauma or post traumatic experiences (using EMDR, brainspotting, IFS, and DNMS) and helping people learn coping skills.
I use EMDR therapy because I think it is one of the fastest and most effective methods. I use ACT therapy for emotional regulation. I consider it an honor to do the work I do and try to support everyone's journey and pace. I love working with those who are ready to seek healing after trauma. It could be one traumatic event or trauma spread over a life time.

Brainspotting Therapists

How does brainspotting work?

Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?

Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?

Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?

A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
