Effective treatment begins with a thorough assessment—gaining an understanding of the challenges clients face increases the likelihood of meaningful progress. I recognize that many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed or hopeless, so my priority in the first session is to instill a sense of hope and introduce evidence-based strategies that make a difference. My aim is to provide short-term, effective, and engaging therapy tailored to each client’s needs. Many report feeling comfortable and supported after just one session, thanks to my gentle and kind approach.

"It ain't how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." Sometimes life hits us hard and drops us in a place where we need a helping hand. I've been a mental health provider in Colorado and Utah, thus adding diversity to my practice. I am currently licensed to practice in Utah and Idaho. If you find yourself in a place where you need a helping hand, please call me.

As Christian counselors, we believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He came to reveal the Father’s heart & through His life, death & resurrection He decisively accomplished Gods saving work. He engages us in the Divine Relationship that we were created by, for, through and in. We seek, along with you, the client, loving purpose, healing, & direction of the Trinity in the counseling sessions. As licensed therapist, we consider our efforts inadequate apart from the grace & presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are blessed & humbled to go to work each day & see Christ working in people's lives in an intimate way.

Hi, I’m Jeff. I work best with people who are ready to face life honestly—whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, or just feeling stuck. I specialize in helping people who’ve been through tough times and are looking for clarity, healing, and a grounded path forward. I bring over 30 years of experience, but more importantly, I bring my full self: kind, loving, and direct. I believe growth happens in the struggle—not in comfort—and I’m here to support you with a balance of compassion and honesty. If you’re looking for a therapist who tells the truth with heart, holds space without judgment, and truly cares— you found him.

My ideal client is someone struggling with anxiety, OCD, burnout, or balancing career, caregiving, and life. They may feel overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, and struggle with self-care. Life may have dealt an unanticipated blow or event, and they need support processing it. They're seeking to regain clarity, shift focus from fear-based thinking, and find healthier coping mechanisms. Their goals are to improve well-being, build resilience, and create balance. They want to move forward with intention, feel confident in their choices, and prioritize what truly matters.

I think we all want to find that balance in life; that wholeness and harmony we seek. One of the best ways we can give that to ourselves is through therapy. As a therapist, I get to help people heal from their past, find meaning in their present situations, and develop hope for their future. It’s a wonderful process to be a part of.

If you come to therapy, you’ll set your treatment goals and I’ll support you. Then step by step, you'll increase your capacity to cope with all of the difficult challenges you face. Your confidence and hope will increase and you’ll ultimately reach your goals. I’ve seen this happen for hundreds of clients over the years, and it’s been so rewarding to be a part of. I’ll make great efforts in creating a safe space for you to come into. I’ll be fully present with you without placing judgement and I’ll meet you where you’re at. Come give therapy a try, and I think you’ll be surprised with how much you can change your life.

You’ve built the business, hit the goals, led the teams—yet inside you feel stuck. Maybe it’s addiction, strained relationships, or a mind that never shuts off. I work with high-performing men who look successful but don’t feel free. This isn’t just therapy; it’s high-touch, high-accountability work. You’ll have access to me not only in sessions but in the in-between moments when the pressure is real. Together, we’ll face the pain you’ve avoided and help you reclaim the freedom and purpose you’ve been missing.

Male Therapists

As a man, why might I want to see a male therapist?

There are many reasons a man might wish to work with a male therapist, including a degree of shared identity, which may help client and therapist connect to each other and allow for a more free-flowing discussion of issues that can be deeply personal. Some men may feel more comfortable talking to a male therapist about relationship concerns, the pressures they feel around the roles society and family place on men, career or job challenges, self-esteem, or anger problems. For some men who have not had a male role models in their lives, a good male therapist may be especially helpful.

How can I find out about a therapist’s experience treating men?

Individuals looking for treatment should feel comfortable directly asking a therapist about their history treating men overall and the issues that arise in therapy with men. A good therapist will be happy to discuss such matters as well as their educational background, approach to treatment, and how they think they can aid a prospective client.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?

Therapy is not gender-specific, but some men as well as women feel more comfortable opening up about their experiences and history with therapists of a specific gender. An individual may feel that they have to explain less background information and be on the same page more quickly, particularly when discussing gender-specific challenges. That said, a good clinician can transcend most if not all gender concerns. Ultimately, the most important factor in therapy is the connection and trust the client is able to build with the practitioner.

Would a male therapist have specific training in treating men?

Generally, no. There are no certifications for treating men specifically, but there are continuing education classes that therapists may take that focus on treating men as a group. There are many therapists who focus on men and male issues in their treatment and therefore have experience and expertise in this domain.
