Therapist focusing on trauma, skill building, and mediation. I believe mental health is simple, yet it can be frustrating because it is also complex. Too often we look for magical or quick fixes for problems when the solutions are very common. Usually it is a number of things that create the problem, not just one contributor and often our society treats the symptom not the cause. As a society we should be focusing on preventative health, getting in front of the problem, and not waiting until it has already occurred to seek help. Having said that... there is always a solution, it just may not be what you expected.

No matter how strong or resilient, there are times in each of our lives when we need some outside support. Whether it's navigating change, fostering self-compassion, coping with stress, finding meaning in life, overcoming toxic habits, identifying and communicating feelings, processing trauma, or any of the things in-between, therapy can be a powerful and helpful resource. Your challenges, needs, and goals are likely a combination entirely unique to you, which is why you deserve individualized and collaboratively created treatment as you navigate the often overwhelming process of improving one's mental health.

Struggling with anxiety, burnout, depression, or trauma can make it hard to see your worth, but change is possible. I help people reconnect with themselves and build fulfilling lives, especially those impacted by stigma around mental health or neurodivergence. I enjoy working with clients who feel therapy hasn’t worked in the past, helping them find approaches that actually fit and make a difference.

Exhausted from holding it all together while everything inside is falling apart? You’ve been surviving. But surviving isn’t the same as living. If you’ve been living in a fog, too tired to do anything other than necessary tasks, or walking on eggshells around different people and it has started to feel normal, you might be carrying more than you realize. Relationships can do that. Grief can do that. Trauma does that. You may not even recognize yourself anymore. That's not weakness, thats what prolonged stress does to a person.

You give of yourself to serve others, and now it’s your turn to receive support. As a helping professional—whether you are a first responder, military member, healthcare provider, or educator—you know the exhaustion that comes from high-stakes work. You might find it difficult to "turn off" the hyper-vigilance when you get home, or perhaps you feel a growing sense of burnout and compassion fatigue that is affecting your relationships. You want to feel like yourself again, to find a sense of balance between your professional duty and your role at home, and to develop the mental preparedness to handle whatever the next shift brings.
