Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists in Morgan, UT
I work with clients who are suffering from anxiety/depression, OCD, and trauma.
You’re tired of living in constant overthinking, heavy emptiness, relentless self-criticism, or memories that won’t let go. It’s exhausting, and you know life isn’t meant to feel this overwhelming. You’ve carried these battles long enough—it’s time for change. Through counseling, you can break free from cycles that hold you back, quiet the noise in your mind, and step into a life of clarity, strength, and peace. The struggle is real, but so is your resilience—and together we can uncover your purpose, restore your sense of belonging, and unlock the future you deserve.

Life isn't always smooth and simple. You might look fine on the outside while feeling anxious, exhausted, or stuck inside. Maybe you're a young adult sorting out your next steps, a parent stretched thin, or facing the pain of fertility struggles or grief. Whatever you're carrying, you don't have to face it alone.
I'm not the kind of therapist who just nods and asks, "How does that make you feel?" I show up with compassion, honesty, and sometimes a little humor. Therapy with me feels like a conversation, supportive, practical, and focused on what matters to you.

You may understand yourself incredibly well and still feel caught in patterns you can’t seem to think your way out of. Maybe your mind won’t stop questioning, checking, replaying, or searching for certainty. Maybe trauma continues to shape your body, relationships, or sense of self. Or perhaps you’ve spent so much of your life adapting to what others needed that you’re no longer entirely sure what you need. I work especially well with thoughtful, self-aware people who want to understand themselves deeply—and create meaningful change.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.
What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.
Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.
Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
