My therapeutic style is one of warmth and attunement. I provide a safe space for people to explore their inner world, heal past wounds, and discover ways to live with self-compassion and authenticity. I specialize in Somatic Psychotherapy and utilize an eclectic, person-centered approach because I believe effective therapy needs to be both individualized and collaborative. Through mindful inquiry we explore the limiting beliefs that interfere with feeling whole and uncover ways to achieve more fulfillment, meaning, and joy in one’s life.

Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, and finding the right support matters. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, perfectionism, grief, trauma-related concerns, and sports or performance anxiety. Many of the clients I work with are balancing academics, athletics, relationships, family expectations, and the pressure to hold it all together. Therapy can be a space to slow down, better understand what you're experiencing, and move toward meaningful change. I especially enjoy supporting athletes, college students, and high performers as they build confidence, resilience, and self-compassion.

I work from an emotionally focused and Internal Family Systems framework, and at the center of both is this: every part of you that shuts down, keeps the peace, goes critical, or disappears into compliance has been doing something important.
I work with couples and individuals navigating life’s most disorienting transitions — new parenthood, empty nesting, perimenopause, retirement, and the quiet drift when life changes faster than the relationship can keep up. I specialize in neurodivergent couples, multicultural relationships, women in midlife, and anyone noticing their own patterns.

My ideal clients are children, teens, and adults with ADHD, autism, OCD, depression, anxiety, or related experiences. Many feel overwhelmed or misunderstood in environments not built for their brains. They may need support with emotional regulation, executive functioning, social skills, or major life transitions. They’re looking for practical tools, clarity, and a validating space. I help them understand their patterns, build skills that fit their unique needs, and move toward confidence and self‑compassion.

Aubrey is committed and dedicated to restoring the connections with ourselves and with our loved ones. While conflict is a normal process of our everyday lives, it causes extreme dysfunction when not handled with the care, compassion, and the proper attunement that so much of us deserve. “We don’t get harmony when everybody sings the same note. Only notes that are different can harmonize. The same is true with people.”

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
