The bravest chapters of our lives often start with a single, quiet decision to begin. Perhaps you’re here because anxiety whispers doubts you’re tired of hearing—or because old wounds no longer fit the life you want to live. Maybe relationships leave you craving deeper connection, or the weight of “what if” has grown too heavy to carry alone. Whatever brings you, you don’t need to have all the answers—just the willingness to take one step forward. Here, you’ll find a space where judgment fades, resilience is rekindled, and healing begins with the simple act of showing up as you are.

You're not entirely certain what's wrong and you might be asking yourself, "Am I crazy?" Your emotions change from feeling anxious, depressed, or irritable, to maybe feeling nothing at all. It may be that sometimes things come to mind that you would rather not think about, but you can't seem to turn it off. Maybe you find that you feel disconnected from yourself or others in your life. At the end of each day you might wonder how you're going to get up and do it all again, and you've reached the point where this is no longer sustainable and cannot be ignored, and you want more for your life.

I specialize in working with LDS clients (active & post- Mormon) of marginalized identities, particularly those experiencing faith transitions, navigating mixed-faith marriages, or part of the LGBTQ community.
As a therapist, I want you to feel seen and understood. In our sessions, I listen to your story and help you feel more connected to yourself, form deeper relationships, and experience personal growth. I particularly enjoy working with couples. Relationships are vulnerable spaces that many need help navigating. Together, we'll gain a deeper understanding of your challenges, identify relational dynamics, and determine areas for growth.

Clients coming from a faith background of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ( Mormon) find it helpful to work with someone who understands LDS teachings and culture.
Accepting Clients! If you’re struggling with self-criticism, trauma, faith questioning, relationships, sexuality, parenting, or anxiety you’re in the right place. My clients are responsible people (maybe too responsible!) who are looking for relief and balance. I work with people who are exhausted by trying to figure out how to continue on with all of life's demands- and somehow also make room to care for themselves and heal. I want to help you live by your values while making changes that help life not feel like such a slog. Let’s help you experience yourself and your situation in a whole new way.

While I was on a counseling mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chile, I discovered a way to help a person find and use their ten best mental health scriptures.
I’d like to teach you this method to calm and enlighten your mind. I'll sincerely listen to your problems and I'll help you find facts, logic and wisdom that put a new light on the issue. Then we'll try to discover what God would say about your challenge, whether that be from the New Testament, the Book of Mormon or other sources of God's word.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Therapists

Why is it important for a therapist to be culturally sensitive?

Therapists and clients don’t need to share the same belief system or background to be able to work together effectively, but, especially for those whose concerns relate to their religion or cultural background, a therapist whose training includes a focus on cultural competence may be better able to form a therapeutic bond, even if they do not have an extensive history with or understanding of their client’s background before therapy begins.

Why is it important to find a therapist sensitive to Church of Christ/Latter Day Saints values?

Each individual brings a unique history and background to therapy, making it important to find a licensed therapist who is trained in a broad range of therapeutic modalities. In addition, for people who grow up in a faith tradition such as LDS that strongly influences the conduct of everyday life, finding a therapist who understands or shares that background can ease the disclosure of sensitive information and facilitate the therapeutic process.

Why might someone feel comfortable with an LDS-attuned therapist?

While qualifications and experience are always important, research has long established that a strong alliance between client and therapist is a major contributor to therapeutic effectiveness. It is wise to find a therapist who is responsive to your questions and concerns and with whom you feel you can establish a rapport. A therapist who is sensitive to LDS values and beliefs and the role they play in the lives of Church members can offer Mormon clients a welcome sense of safety, assurance that their community and culture will be understood, and contribute to the bond between client and therapist, all of which support the therapeutic process.

How do I recognize a good LDS therapist?

LDS therapists are licensed mental health professionals—holding a master’s or doctoral degree in medicine, nursing, psychology, counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy—who are also familiar with Mormon principles and values. They have an understanding of the culture and the important role the Church plays in the lives of individuals and families, which allows them to be especially sensitive to the kinds of emotional difficulties those raised in the faith can be prone to. Like all effective therapists, a good LDS therapist will have undergone training and certification in a variety of treatment modalities that help people through crises and enable them to master the challenges of everyday life.

Who is included in Psychology Today’s directory of Mormon/LDS therapists?

The directory of LDS therapists includes therapists who have shared their cultural background in their profiles. However, not all therapists choose to disclose this information; these individuals would not appear in search results for this reason. The directory also shows therapists who indicate that they have extensive experience working with LDS clients and/or communities, regardless of their own background or religious affiliation.
