We all experience different struggles at one time or another throughout our life. Therapy is a way to assist you in embracing your current situation and moving through, rather than getting stuck or spiraling backward. Life can be complex and challenging, it can require extra support to help move through the struggles we may be experiencing. In our first few sessions I will learn more about your current situation and discuss treatment options I feel you may benefit form and what has worked for you in the past. We will work together from there to develop a plan that you are comfortable with and work together to reach your goals.

Within every individual is the ability to heal, to grow, and to thrive, but many need help finding the inner resources and skills to do so. If you're looking for something more than just traditional talk therapy, I offer an in-depth process of skill building that will foster lasting change from the inside out. Using a person-centered, humanistic approach, I work with individuals, ages 15 and older, struggling with various mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, BPD, substance abuse, major life changes, and low self-esteem.

Hello, I'm so happy you are here. (: Perhaps you were told you need to do therapy or you are ready to start the journey but don't know what to do. Your mental health is extremely important and should be taken seriously and honored. If you are struggling with trauma, identity, gender, or even relationship concerns, please call or email. I'm happy to help as I can. “Accepting something, by the way, isn’t the same as liking it. To accept a feeling that we habitually associate with discomfort doesn’t mean we immediately turn around and start enjoying it. It means being okay with it as part of the texture of human life.” - Pema Chodron

I love what I do and I have a passion for helping others. Finding a good fit with a therapist is critical for therapy to work. I am a people person. I have a personality that is down to earth and easy going. I enjoy working with teenagers, adults, couples and families. I have over 15 years of experience in this field. During my career I have worked with individuals struggling with depression/ anxiety, clients in bondage to past trauma, couples with relationship issues and conflict, blended families struggling with transitions. Growing through and past these issues in therapy leads to greater wholeness.

I have been working with individuals, couples, families, and children for over 20 years. I primarily use a collaborative, strength-based approach to individual, family and couples' therapy, play therapy with children, and when working with diverse populations. I believe that the majority of people have an internal desire and wisdom that directs them toward healing and changing for the better. Similar to our bodies, the brain naturally knows how to heal given the right conditions. I believe that my role as a therapist is to help people tap into the resiliency of the human spirit.

Chances are there is not going to be a quick fix or band aid remedy available to your problem or situation. However, finding the solution does not need to be too far from reach and it would be my intent to make the journey look less daunting. Yet, when it comes to addressing those negative behaviors or addictive traits that often impact our ability to form or maintain a quality of life or healthy relationships. It is important that we are deliberate, calculated, and consistent in our method of treatments. We can start doing this together by creating a space that is conducive with rigorous honesty and vulnerability.

Life can be full of challenges that make it hard to reach your potential and feel peace and happiness in your life. When searching for a therapist, to help you through these storms, you want to find a therapist that you can trust, and be comfortable with. Throughout the year I continue to sharpen my skills through conferences to better serve those that come to my office. This includes learning a variety of theories, skills and techniques in order to better serve you as no two clients fit the same mold. Therefore, you can guarantee that your treatment plan will be specific to your needs and desires.
