I am a therapist because I believe everyone deserves to be truly seen, heard, and healed. Life might have taught you that you are unworthy, incapable, or unable to experience peace. I hope to guide you through your journey of healing and growth. I believe that the resources you need to find that peace and healing are inside of you–after all, you know yourself and your needs better than anyone. It can be hard to ask for help and be vulnerable with a stranger. I do my best to cultivate an environment where you feel safe to share not only your struggles, but also your joys and laughter.

It is natural to feel lost and weighed down – life is an incredibly difficult journey, but you do not need to traverse it alone. Therapy is a safe harbor: a warm and collaborative space where you can find your compass and relieve your burdens. While the path to change can sometimes feel daunting and uncertain, there is healing and recovery on the horizon. By showing up as your authentic self and exploring new ways of overcoming your challenges between our visits, you will begin to rediscover your own strength. Together, we will help you move from a place of just “surviving” to a life where you feel empowered and whole again.

Life is hard. It just is. And somewhere along the way, you may have felt like you've lost sight of who you are and what you want. Whether that's due to trauma, relationships, illness, or just life events, sometimes life throws you off track and you just need someone to help guide you back to where you want to be. I specialize in working with shame, perfectionism, trauma, ADHD, high masking autism, faith transitions, and LGBTQ+ issues. I believe that each individual has within them the ability to heal, grow, and thrive, and it's my goal to hold space for my clients as they learn to embrace and harness that ability.

You experience a range of emotions. When you're going through a challenging time, managing your emotions can become more difficult. That can look like worrying about nearly everything, having a hard time focusing, wanting to take action but feeling stuck, feeling so emotionally overwhelmed that you seek instant relief or develop habits that initially help you feel better, but in the long run become self-destructive and harmful. You know it is possible to improve how you handle your stressors and emotions, that this improvement will lead to being able to enjoy your life more and you would like support in this process.

As a board-certified psychologist and retired military officer with over 25 years of experience, I am trained in a variety of evidence-based treatments, including those proven effective for obsessive-compulsive and related disorders (CBT & ERP), as well as trauma and stress-related conditions (such as EMDR & ART).
I help people struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationship issues—whether from obsessive thoughts, trauma, loss, or other high-stress experiences. It's not just what we've lived through, but how it continues to affect us. My goal is to help you keep the insight and let go of the suffering. Everyone who enters my office is treated with respect, compassion, and receives the same care I’d want for my own family members.

I use only gold-standard, evidence-based treatments like Exposure and Response Prevention ( ERP) and Exposure Therapy, both specialized forms of CBT proven to be the most effective approaches for OCD and anxiety.
I also know anxiety on a personal level, which allows me to approach therapy with warmth, empathy, and an understanding of how overwhelming it can feel. My role is to guide you step by step, teaching you the tools and always explaining the “why” behind what we’re doing. We will move at a manageable pace & treatment will be tailored to your specific symptoms.

I was born and raised in Las Vegas but relocated to Utah with my wife in 2004. I have spent most of my career as a business consultant and enjoy helping others simplify complex issues. After facing my own struggles, I realized that these skills could easily be transferred to individuals who had challenges in their personal lives. I am drawn to working with others who are overwhelmed by all the demands life places on them.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.

Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.

How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.

What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
