I specialize in IFS, ACT, and existentialism.
I work with anyone who is looking to improve their life, relationships, and themselves. I take a systemic approach as the experience of the outer world is largely affected by one’s inner world, and vice versa. I love exploring the system within and helping clients connect with their inner self in order to heal unhelpful patterns of behavior/thought. I am looking for those interested in getting curious and gaining insight about themselves in order to achieve desired goals.

Things have felt "off" for a while. While part of you wants to withdraw, the other part wants to yell. None of this was part of the plan. The excitement, laughter, and connection you once felt are replaced with the complications and stress of life. It seems like any attempt to make changes just prove to make things worse. Any decision feels like the wrong decision. The fear, anxiety, disconnection, resentment, and frustration are overpowering. You're stuck; underneath it all is the lingering question, “Are we going to be okay?” I provide a safe and non-judgmental space, to be honest with yourself and your partner.

In our first session, we’ll explore what brought you to therapy and collaborate on the best approach for your needs. Our initial work often involves psychoeducation and skill development, followed by deeper work to process emotions and trauma through mind-body integration.

When appropriate I will incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Internal Family Systems.
I am a licensed mental health counselor and a registered play therapist supervisor. I works closely with parents and caregivers as well, offering guidance and insight that helps families support their child’s progress outside the therapy room. She believes that healing is a collaborative process, and she values helping families better understand their child’s emotional world.
“It’s amazing to see kids come in burdened by trauma, and over time, see them transition from victim to survivor. They’re incredibly resilient — they just need someone to walk with them on their journey.”

My ideal client would be someone who is willing to acknowledge the need for help and growth in their life. The client will be willing to work hard and get through the situation instead of getting over the situation. The client will want to learn about all aspects of themselves and that getting there will be a journey that they will always remember.

I firmly believe there is a function to our behavior. Sometimes it's obvious, sometimes not. And sometimes, while our behavior made sense at one time, maybe even to the point of saving our life, it is no longer serving us. We're all just doing the best that we can but sometimes the way we're coping leads to highly negative impacts on our body, mind, spirit, & relationships. A wise mentor once shared with me that our capacity for change comes from our ability (and willingness) to reflect. I seek to empower my clients to gain the tools and self-awareness they need in order to cultivate a sense of peace and personal agency.

I use a combination of IFS and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), (similar to EMDR that can help you feel relief in just 1-4 sessions).
Are you struggling with a past trauma or relational wound that you cannot stop thinking about, feeling your memories or looping thoughts are keeping you stuck? I specialize in trauma, PTSD, and attachment injuries, specifically for women who find themselves overthinking, obsessing, and ruminating on the past. Not directly dealing with how trauma gets wired into our brain can leave us feeling depressed and stuck, trying to make sense of what happened to us. Through new breakthrough therapy modalities that help reorganize memory and lessen triggers, we no longer have to be held hostage to our past.

You’re the strong one. The oldest daughter, the helper, the fixer — the glue that keeps everyone else okay. But somewhere along the way, you lost you. Now you’re exhausted, anxious, so burnt out trying to be ‘good enough’ for everyone. You want permission to rest, say no, and still believe you’re worthy. Maybe faith is part of your story — comforting but complicated sometimes. You’re not too much for me. You’re allowed to show up messy here. You don’t have to hold it all alone anymore.

Struggling with anxiety, depression, or trauma can make it hard to see your worth, but change is possible. I help people reconnect with themselves and build fulfilling lives, especially those impacted by stigma around mental health or neurodivergence. I enjoy working with clients who feel therapy hasn’t worked in the past, helping them find approaches that actually fit and make a difference.

If you’ve tried traditional talk therapy and still feel stuck, you’re not alone and it doesn’t mean you’ve failed. Sometimes the brain and nervous system need a different kind of support. I offer an integrative approach that combines counseling with neurofeedback and biofeedback to help regulate your brain, improve focus, sleep, and emotional balance, and create lasting change. Many clients find this approach helpful, especially when other methods haven’t fully worked. You deserve to feel better, and I’d be honored to support you!

She is trained in CBT, mindfulness work, EMDR, IFS and somatic work to create an individualized treatment for clients.
Allison's philosophy: Life's struggles stem from multiple areas. I believe in a whole-self/systems approach. The use of this philosophy offers an analysis of how the inner system - body, mind, spirit, emotion - connects to the outer system - family, culture, community. I believe when one area is out of balance, it impacts everything else.

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.
How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.
Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.
How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
