I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I am also an AAMFT-approved supervisor. I have two pre-teen kiddos and a wonderful wife who keeps me focused. Originally from Louisiana, I have moved all over the country but have resided in Utah for about 8 years. I enjoy traveling, good food, and the theater (whether movies or stage productions). I have always enjoyed getting to know people. Talking with new people is interesting and exciting for me. I enjoy helping people reach their goals. I look at life like a big puzzle, and I love puzzles!

In the journey into adult life, there are inherent pressures associated with child development, including anxiety and the struggles with self-image. I entered the mental health field because I can empathize with these pressures and wanted to help others experiencing similar difficulties. I enjoyed being a support system to family and peers; also feeling that a key component to an effective support system is guidance to discover solutions, I translated that passion into my adult life.

Many clients experience reduced symptoms of anxiety, ADHD, depression, and trauma, along with greater clarity, calm, and overall well-being.
If you’ve tried traditional talk therapy and still feel stuck, you’re not alone and it doesn’t mean you’ve failed. Sometimes the brain and nervous system need a different kind of support. I offer an integrative approach that combines counseling with neurofeedback and biofeedback to help regulate your brain, improve focus, sleep, and emotional balance, and create lasting change. Many clients find this approach helpful, especially when other methods haven’t fully worked. You deserve to feel better, and I’d be honored to support you!

I work with LGBTQ+ individuals, people in faith transitions, and neurodivergent adults — ADHD, Autism, all of it.
A lot of my clients come in managing anxiety that's become their whole personality, or carrying depression so quietly no one's noticed. Some are navigating faith transitions, figuring out their identity, or realizing their brain works differently than they were told it should.

Are you overwhelmed, exhausted, or holding everything together for everyone else? Maybe you're parenting a neurodivergent or medically complex child, navigating trauma, questioning identity or faith, or feeling disconnected from yourself and your relationships-even when you look "fine" on the outside. I offer a relational, trauma-informed space where you don't have to have the right words or know exactly what's wrong. Together, we slow things down, make sense of what you've been carrying, and create room for healing that feels realistic and humane.

If you find yourself struggling with the same issues over and over in your parenting, in your marriage, in your work and social life; if your child is continually frustrated, in trouble or alone at school, or has sustained a mTBI or TBI; if you see your parent or grand-parent having difficulties with expressing themselves, remembering things about their loved ones, their activities or other changes in their abilities, a neuropsychological evaluation may be exactly what you need. An evaluation gives a clear picture of what your cognitive functioning is like, and allows for specific and tailored treatment recommendations.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
