I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with people with OCD, anxiety-related disorders, ADHD, and trauma.
My therapeutic philosophy revolves around empowering individuals to take an active role in their healing process. I am certified in EMDR for trauma processing and ERP for anxiety and OCD.
Life can start to feel overwhelming, like you’re stuck in your own head, constantly on edge, unable to get away from intrusive thoughts or pulled back into past experiences you can’t quite shake. Anxiety, ADHD, or trauma make it hard to feel present, connected, or even like yourself. You might be navigating this on your own, or you might be a parent watching your teen struggle with anxiety, identity, or emotional overwhelm and not knowing how to help. You don’t have to figure it out alone. I work with teens (10+) and adults to create a space that feels steady, supportive and free of judgment particularly for LGBTQIA+ individuals.

If boundaries are good for me, why are they so scary? Many of us were never taught how to set healthy boundaries with those around us, let alone know what a boundary even is. This can lead to you feeling pushed around, taken advantage of, or that you’re small, like your voice doesn’t matter. I’m here to tell you that your voice DOES matter, and that you get to make and set the rules of your life. You have the ultimate say, it’s just a matter of learning to trust yourself and being bold about what you want and need.

While we are born whole and inherently worthy, life experiences, trauma, relationship wounds, and chronic stress can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves. These experiences often live not only in our thoughts, but within the nervous system, the body, and the ways we relate to ourselves and others. Therapy offers an opportunity to gently process these experiences, cultivate resilience, and reconnect with your inner wisdom.
For over a decade, I have worked with individuals, families, and couples, supporting clients through anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, motherhood, self-worth, and personal growth.

I believe therapy isn’t just about solving problems; it’s also about discovering strengths, building resilience, and developing greater self-awareness. I also believe that all behavior- our thoughts, emotions, and actions- starts in the brain and is purposeful. The patterns we develop over time shape how we respond to the world around us. Because of this, I see lasting change as beginning with an understanding: learning how the brain works and how it influences the way we think, feel, and act. When we understand what is happening inside us, we’re better able to make meaningful changes and identify our emotions more accurately.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.
What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.
Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.
Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
