I love helping a person become their best version of themselves. Most people seeking counseling feel defeated. My strategies help them find hope and to develop new approaches to help them become powerful people with tangible and deep changes in how they feel and in their beliefs about themselves so that they are living lives of joy and fulfillment. Ideally a client is ready to try new approaches to their life, is ready to get out of the constant cycle of overthinking, and is ready to take a journey deep inside where they can heal emotionally and physically, and emerge ready to truly LIVE.

Feeling stuck? Like things aren’t changing? Wondering if your relationship with your spouse or partner will ever improve or if you will just continue in the same cyclical patterns? You might be feeling lonelier than ever as you wrestle with these questions quietly in your heart. You wonder who you can talk to as everyone around you seems to be biased in someway. You know you need a space to think your own thoughts and figure this out for yourself. Or perhaps you struggle with crippling anxiety that has lead to some avoidant behaviors. Either way, you know you want to regain your confidence and feel better.

Picture reaching for your spouse and knowing they will be there to respond—offering warmth, understanding, and reassurance. You have a marriage where love flows freely, trust feels effortless, and your bond is stronger than ever. You and your spouse are not just surviving—you are thriving, deeply connected, and at peace. Laughter fills your home, conversations are open and meaningful, and intimacy feels safe and fulfilling. You need help getting there. Right now, your relationship may feel fragile, weighed down by betrayal, hurt, and disconnection. But hope is not lost. Healing is possible. Let's begin. Your best chapter is waiting.

Do you feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure where to turn? You may not feel safe in your environment, your body, or even your own thoughts. Past trauma or neglect may still affect you, along with patterns that no longer serve you. You deserve a safe, nonjudgmental space to share your pain, shame, guilt, and disappointments. Together, we build connection, support, and direction—so you don’t have to carry it alone.

Usually, we meet weekly in person or virtually.
Your teen's confident, responsible, happy nature has turned into a withdrawn overburdened teenager. Your teen is a really good kid but is taking on all the burdens of life including their friends and family problems as their responsibility. You finally talked to her and she didn't want to talk but asked you to find her a therapist. It breaks your heart that she is struggling so much. You can see she needs help to release herself from those negative beliefs. She needs help to set her boundaries and maybe find a new perspective but if you talk to her she shuts down. Then she feels guilt and shame for not being enough.

During this ongoing unprecedented public health situation I am offering virtual or in office visits.
You know something needs to change — you just can’t put your finger on exactly what. Maybe it’s the weight of the past, the stress of right now, or the worry about what’s coming next. You don’t need a diagnosis or a script to start. You just need to be willing to show up. I work with teens, adults, and first responders who are ready to do the work, even when they’re not sure where to begin. Therapy with me is equal parts hard work and laughter — because growth doesn’t have to be miserable. And when we’re done? You’ll know you can handle whatever comes next.

We're accepting new clients and offer both in-person and telehealth appointments.
Maybe you're going through something painful or confusing—maybe it’s a recent life change, old wounds that won’t stay buried, or emotions that feel too big to handle alone. You might not know exactly what you need, but you know you'd like to feel better, more grounded, and more like yourself. What matters most to is finding a safe, supportive space where you don’t have to perform or protect others—where you can be real, be heard, and start to heal at your own pace.

My first goal with therapy is to build rapport. Studies show that the relationship between therapist and client is the biggest indicator of success in therapy. Second, my practice is client led. Whether that means set goals with homework, or a more laidback approach I'm up for what the client needs.

I believe that as we set goals, it's important to celebrate the small success stories along your path. As we develop our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors across our lives we question if they feel disruptive or wrong. We all face difficulties with barriers and stressors as we navigate life's complex systems but too often, we dismiss those feelings and struggle on. Taking an active approach is how we process our circumstances and gain back control for personal self-care, growth or happiness. By taking time to reflect on our own needs, you can focus on living a healthier and more fulfilling life with the use of therapy.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
