Using research supported modalities such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy, internal family systems, and Somatic approaches, my clients generally see significant improvement in their problems, and a reduction in anxiety/ depression within the first few 2-3 sessions.
I love helping a person become their best version of themselves. Most people seeking counseling feel defeated. My strategies help them find hope and to develop new approaches to help them become powerful people with tangible and deep changes in how they feel and in their beliefs about themselves so that they are living lives of joy and fulfillment. Ideally a client is ready to try new approaches to their life, is ready to get out of the constant cycle of overthinking, and is ready to take a journey deep inside where they can heal emotionally and physically, and emerge ready to truly LIVE.

Picture reaching for your spouse and knowing they will be there to respond—offering warmth, understanding, and reassurance. You have a marriage where love flows freely, trust feels effortless, and your bond is stronger than ever. You and your spouse are not just surviving—you are thriving, deeply connected, and at peace. Laughter fills your home, conversations are open and meaningful, and intimacy feels safe and fulfilling. You need help getting there. Right now, your relationship may feel fragile, weighed down by betrayal, hurt, and disconnection. But hope is not lost. Healing is possible. Let's begin. Your best chapter is waiting.

As a therapist, my goal is to help families, couples, and individuals improve their personal relationships. This is achieved through gaining an understanding of others' emotions and why they react the way they do to various situations. Then, being willing to make the changes needed to be able to connect and trust their partner or family member. When the storms arrive, each will then know how to comfort themselves, and others; this happens synergistically. Synergism means that each person complements the other and enhances their performance; together, you are energized through the art of working in harmony. Come give it a try!

I work with young adults and adults in areas of depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, low self esteem, and mood issues.
I have worked in a residential setting with adolescents for 20 years. I loved it and decided to go on to get my masters. As much as I love working with this population I have truly enjoyed working with my private practice clients just as much! Individuals that are voluntarily seeking therapy. What?!? It's been an amazing experience.

I help clients address anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, behavior and social problems, and relationship conflicts.
As a therapist, my goal is to help clients identify and understand barriers in their life that are preventing them from achieving peace and happiness. I believe with knowledge comes power; as people gain insight into problems affecting them they can gain insight on how to achieve change in their life. I help clients explore their strengths and weaknesses, while working to use strengths to cope with life challenges, identifying a path to promote change. Lastly, I work to empower clients and help them develop the skills necessary to be successful after our work together is complete.

I specialize in managing anxiety, depression, and processing traumas and/or life-long narratives and programming that keeps us from experiencing our most authentic & healed self.
As a therapist with a background in psychology and a Master’s in Social Work, my passion lies in supporting individuals across the lifespan—children, youth, and adults—as they navigate trauma, reconnect with their inner resilience, and cultivate adaptive skills for lasting well-being. I draw from a diverse toolkit that includes nature-based therapy and somatic practices, —modalities that foster deep reconnection to the self and the natural world. These approaches, paired with evidence-informed therapeutic frameworks, help my clients access their inherent capacity for healing in meaningful, embodied ways.

Depression Therapists

What is the goal of therapy for depression?

Therapy for depression has several major goals. One is to relieve the mental pain of depression, which distorts feeling and thinking so that sufferers cannot see beyond their current state of mind or envision feeling better. Another is to give people the mental tools to recognize and correct the kinds of distorted thinking that turn a problem into a catastrophe and lead to despair. Therapy also teaches people how to process negative emotions in constructive ways, so they have more control over their own emotional reactivity. And it helps people regain the ability to see themselves positively, the motivation to do things, and the capacity for pleasure.

What happens in therapy for depression?

Perhaps most important, no matter the type of therapy, patients form an alliance with the therapist; that connection is therapeutic in itself, plus it becomes an instrument of change. Patients learn to identify and to challenge their own erroneous beliefs and thoughts that amplify the effects of negative experiences. They learn to identify situations in which they are especially vulnerable. And they learn new patterns of thinking and behaving. They may be given “homework” assignments in which they practice their developing skills. In addition, good therapists regularly monitor patients to assess whether and how much the condition is improving.

What therapy types help with depression?

Several types of short-term therapy have been found effective, each targeting one or more areas of dysfunction. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps clients challenge their negative thoughts and beliefs, learn new behavioral strategies, and curb reactivity to distressing situations. Behavioral activation (BA) is a form of therapy often used in conjunction with CBT; it focuses on engagement in rewarding activity as a pathway to changing negative feelings and disturbed mood. Another widely used approach is interpersonal therapy (IPT), which targets the social difficulties that both give rise to and get exacerbated by depression. Therapists may combine approaches as needed.

Can therapy for depression be done online?

Studies have found that online therapy can be highly effective for treating depression, although it may be more challenging to build a good therapist-patient alliance on screen than in person—at least at first. However, online therapy can offer considerable advantages. Accessibility and convenience are tops among them. Some people actually find it easier to talk about problems online than in person. While online therapy typically limits visibility of facial expression and body gestures that give important nonverbal cues to a patient’s state of mind, it can give therapists a glimpse into a patient’s world and life, providing information that can be highly useful in guiding therapy.

How effective is therapy for depression?

Many studies show that therapy is highly effective provided that patients complete the prescribed course of therapy, commonly 16 to 20 sessions. Over the long term, it is more effective than medication and the effects are more enduring. As a result, psychotherapy has the power not just to relieve current suffering but to prevent future episodes of the disorder. Therapy reverses the dysfunction in neural circuitry that disposes individuals to a negative view of themselves, the world, and their future and they acquire coping techniques, problem-solving skills, and understanding of their own vulnerabilities that are useful over the course of a lifetime.
