I specialize in Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT), psychodynamic, and attachment-based work, which focuses on the impact of relationships and early experiences in your life—and how these shape your internal world.
Often, we cope by enduring our circumstances, not realizing the deeper patterns that shape how we experience ourselves and others. Therapy can be a space where we start to understand those patterns, shedding light on the unconscious ways we manage pain, anxiety, and past wounds. While some of these strategies may have helped us in the past, they can also keep us stuck, limiting our ability to fully connect with ourselves and others. In our work together, we’ll explore the emotional and relational patterns that may be influencing your current experiences.

For the past three years, I have worked in a residential setting supporting children with intense emotions, attention challenges, and behavior concerns—alongside their families. This experience gave me a strong foundation in helping individuals navigate emotional regulation, improve communication, and rebuild strained relationships. Following a recent move to Cache County due to my spouse’s new job, I am now transitioning to working with adults in an outpatient setting. In my practice, I help children and adult adults manage stress, navigate life’s transitions, and develop healthier coping strategies.

I also weave somatic/body-based practices into my work and draw on other therapeutic approaches (EMDR, CBT, Attachment-based, Poly Vagal theory, Mindfulness-based) as needed.
I believe that within each of us lies a powerful, resilient human spirit that has the capacity to thrive - regardless of one's life circumstances. Hope and healing occur as we learn to embrace our unique gifts, develop self-compassion, increase self awareness and implement coping skills into one's daily life. A person flourishes as they learn to approach life in authentic ways while being true to their identity. I am passionate about my work because I believe that we all have the capacity to excel and find joy in the journey of life.

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with an attachment-based approach, fostering meaningful change in your daily life while honoring your unique identity.
Life and relationships bring vulnerability, often accompanied by pain and betrayal. Unprocessed, these experiences shape our self-image and future connections. Hurt or trauma can leave us feeling small, lonely, and burdened by secrecy or shame. Collaboratively, I help clients unlock patterns and painful experiences, fostering awareness and facilitating their journey towards embracing a fuller, unencumbered life.

The types of therapy that I use are EMDR, Brainspotting, Mindfulness, Attachment-based, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
My ideal client is someone who feels motivated to find empowerment over their own life. My ideal client is someone who wants to use therapy as a space to explore, express, process, brainstorm, feel, connect, and create. Therapy is a resource to them to assist in the ongoing challenges that arise as a result of being human. They want a therapist who will both support them and challenge them. They may have a background of traumatic experiences, they may have an official or unofficial diagnosis of neurodivergence, or they may be someone who simply feels like we would be a good therapist/client match.

Attachment-based Therapists
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.
What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.
How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.
Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
