However, I pull heavily from IFS, ERP, EMDR, and Coherence Therapy to help achieve lasting relief from symptoms.
Do you feel like you could explain your problems inside and out? Are you sick of being told you have great insight while still experiencing emotional distress? Do you feel like you've done the work and need help with that last push to reach the healing you desire? I hear you, and I get it. That is why I take a trauma-informed approach grounded in current neuroscience research. Doing so allows us to address the issue at its root, leading to lasting change. I specialize in working with trauma, faith transitions, OCD, and anxiety.

I am trained to integrate resiliency skills with treatment models including Internal Family Systems, DBT, and ACT.
Feeling trapped, unable to navigate your daily life? Post-traumatic events can transform even minor decisions into daunting challenges. While I enjoy working with clients with a wide range of concerns, I often find myself navigating trauma, including relational, intergenerational, religious, and abuse-related experiences. I often work with adult children struggling in their relationships with parents, as well as individuals facing challenges related to body image, eating disorders, OCD, low self-esteem, and boundary-setting.

If you've tried therapy before and feel like you didn't get to the root or as deep as you would have liked to, I'm your girl! I believe that there is no one “right” route to take in life. In my work I use a person-centered and strengths-based approach. Together we will create your life worth living and release the pain that's in the way. I hope at the end of our time together you will have more loving connections, playfulness, and meaning. Together we will celebrate victories, no matter how small. We will laugh, grieve, be angry, cry, and smile throughout the process.

I often use Internal Family Systems ( IFS), Lifespan Integration (LI), and Music Therapy in my practice.
Hi, I’m Bri, and I’m glad you’re here. Life can feel heavy, exhausting, and lonely. Worries may feel overwhelming, the inner critic can be relentless, and relationships can struggle with distance, miscommunication, or trust issues. Teens may feel overwhelmed by anxiety, identity questions, school pressures, or social stress. Parents often face family conflicts, burnout, and kids struggle with behavioral challenges or difficulty focusing. Whether these struggles have been carried for years or arise from recent changes, facing it alone can feel impossible.

I use EMDR, parts work ( IFS), and attachment-focused approaches to help you move from just surviving to feeling genuinely secure — in your body, your relationships, and your sense of self.
My approach is collaborative and strengths-based: we go at a pace that feels safe, and we build on what's already working, not just what's broken. I also work with couples on attachment wounds, and offer EMDR Intensives for clients who want focused, accelerated trauma processing outside of a weekly session format.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
