Welcome! I believe that relationships are the cornerstone of our healing journeys. When challenges arise with a partner, a child, or even within ourselves, it can impact every part of life. Therapy provides a space to process those challenges, strengthen connection, and rediscover hope. I specialize in working with children, families, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and major life transitions such as divorce. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, helping clients identify patterns, build on what is already working, and create meaningful change.

Believing in yourself isn’t easy, but having a supportive cheering section makes a difference! Working with teenagers, young adults, couples, and families to nurture self-compassion, foster personal growth, and shift negative patterns creates positive change. While anxiety and depression may seem ever-present, they can become sources of inner strength. Your story matters, and together, we can discover and live your values, forging the path toward the person you aspire to be. It’s NOT always easy to believe in yourself, identify and live true to your values, and blaze the path forward.

I offer sessions in person Monday-Thursday.
I know how it feels to long for connection, love, & emotional safety after painful life experiences. My journey through painful experiences & healing led me to this work. I’ve seen firsthand how transformation is possible. It’s an honor to walk alongside others as they find their way back to themselves & those they care about. Many of the clients I work with feel stuck in painful cycles, struggling with betrayal, grief, medical issues, spiritual differences, and life transitions. They often feel lost trying to rebuild the relationships they long for. I consider it sacred work to support individuals & couples in their healing.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
