More Joy. Less suffering. That’s the goal. I am a solution-focused therapist who thinks that direct communication, a willingness to try new things - and a healthy dash of humor – can lead to growth, healing, and more joy. Therapy at Brite starts from two very important beliefs: your brain isn’t broken (even if it feels that way) and you have strengths you can use to feel better. We identify the strengths and learn to use them more effectively (and more often) while learning how to address the other, stickier areas of life that are weighing you down.
Brite clients are diverse. They are often do-gooders, change-makers, or people pregnant or parenting. Most want to treat anxiety (and prevent it from returning). Many want to strengthen communication and boundary setting. Nearly all want to address unhelpful thinking patterns and get "unstuck" so they can carry the weight of the world a bit lighter.
Brite offers two ways to address mental health challenges: traditional therapy (ongoing weekly or biweekly counseling) and time-limited therapy (a set number of sessions targeted to achieve a narrower goal). For more information on Brite's services, please visit www.britecounseling.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
