Dr. Glen Bowman is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience. He has provided services in a variety of settings, including college and university counseling centers, outpatient mental health centers, and psychiatric treatment hospitals. His work with adults, children, couples and families has focused on issues related to stress and coping, identity development, grief and loss, communication and anger management, perfectionism, social anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, depression, and substance abuse. He completed a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the State University of New York at Albany in 1993, with his predoctoral internship at Penn State University.

I will work diligently to provide you with compassionate and effective counseling that is respectful of your life experiences and individual perspective. I am an experienced clinical social worker with a specialty working with families and adults. I provide a safe place to discuss a number of problem areas including grief, trauma, parenting, adoption, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression. I listen very well, offer direct feedback, and provide compassion and hope. I seek solutions and encourage the expression of thoughts and feelings. I provide clinical supervision for MSWs seeking to obtain their LCSW.

In addition to psychology, I have an educational/work background in engineering, including disaster management, and bring a balance of empathy and evidence-based approaches to help you resolve issues.
