Umbrella Psychotherapy is a private practice in Austin, Texas, specializing in eating disorders and co-occurring substance use disorders. We work with teens, adults, and families, offering individual, family, and group therapy both in person and virtually across Texas.
Our approach is Health at Every Size aligned and rooted in the belief that healing happens in relationship, with others, with your body, and with yourself. We draw on evidence-based modalities including DBT, ACT, CBT, and ERP, and we take a team-based approach when clients need coordination with dietitians, physicians, or higher levels of care.
Our Team
I'm a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor (LCSW-S). I specialize in eating disorders and co-occurring substance use. I help people build healthier relationships with food, their bodies, and their emotions. My practice is Health at Every Size aligned.
Our work together will focus on: tolerating uncomfortable emotions, reducing ineffective behaviors, dismantling false beliefs about food and bodies, practicing therapeutic skills to help navigate life, and pausing … recovery is in the pause.

I work with people dealing with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and trauma. My approach draws from Gestalt, Existential, and Relational-Cultural therapy. In practice, that means I'm less interested in moving straight to solutions than in understanding what's actually happening for you, in your body, in your relationships, and in the present moment.
Before training as a therapist, I completed a PhD in philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin. That background is useful for sitting with hard questions that don't have clean answers.
