I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor and a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional. I have been a therapist for over 10 years and I have worked with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and difficulties with handling life’s stressors. As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, I will include discussions about using food as medicine, the use of herbal supplements, and the mental health benefits of exercise.
Our approach is integrated. We believe that each person has their own power that can be tapped into when the challenges in our lives are managed. Our work involves several therapeutic approaches including teaching the use of mindfulness practices, using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy informed interventions and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Life is particularly stressful during this time due, in part to COVID uncertainty. It is not unusual to experience feelings of anxiety and depression as we all adjust to the present "normal".
