Hello! My name is Ty Martin and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri since 2010. In addition to Missouri, I am also licensed in the states of Washington, Iowa, and Nevada. I aspire to get licensed in other states so I can provide services to those in need. In my tenure as a therapist, I have served across many facets including Virtual, In Home, Inpatient, Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, In School, and other Community based settings. I also have treated across diverse cultures including but not limited to age, ethnicities, gender, disabilities, socioeconomic status, etc.
My theoretical orientation is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT) as there are a variety of interventions to choose from that are evidenced based. I specialize in Trauma Informed CBT, e.g. TF CBT for children 3-18 and Cognitive Processing Therapy for ages 14-Adulthood. However, I also serve people with use of Strength Based Approaches.
