The question, "why now?" is one of the most simplistic, yet deeply profound questions to ask when deciding to enter therapy. Discovering your "why" is one of the first steps of moving towards what therapy is ultimately about: self-awareness. As a therapist, I don't claim to have all the answers or a magic cure. In fact, I think the most lasting changes in therapy occur as clients come to a deeper self-awareness of their own lives. I view my role as a therapist as being able to partner with clients and walk alongside them as they journey towards greater self-awareness.
One of the things I love about being a therapist is seeing clients "get it." Some of the main modalities I use to guide clients towards greater self-awareness and those "I got it" moments are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and attachment theory.
I am taking new clients through in-person sessions (either Littleton, next to Columbine High School or Denver near I-25 and Hampden) or online via Telehealth.
