Sometimes, to feel safe or simply survive, many of us learn to shrink, disconnect, or hide parts of ourselves. Experiences like discrimination, racism, ableism, trauma, or microaggressions leave lasting marks on both the mind and body. Over time, this disconnection and those lasting marks can show up as anxiety, depression, OCD, or struggles with addiction. Using somatic therapy and Gestalt techniques, I create a supportive space to help you process these experiences, reconnect with your body, and move toward healing and alignment with your true self.
Through body focused techniques, somatic therapy helps you reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been shut down or numbed in response to trauma or stress. By fostering a deeper awareness of your body’s signals, it becomes possible to release old patterns and create space for new, healthier ways of being. Connection leads to new possibilities.
I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ people and disabled people, especially the Deaf/HoH community where I have spent the majority of my career. Seeking support is an admirable and often difficult step towards healing for anyone and you deserve a therapist that you feel comfortable with. Please don't hesitate to reach out for a free consultation today.
