Hi there! I’m Tyler, a child, adolescent, and family therapist passionate about helping kids and teens learn to understand and manage their “big feelings” in healthy, empowering ways. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in schools and community-based mental health agencies, where I discovered my love for helping children navigate emotions, relationships, and the challenges of daily life. My time working in an elementary school especially shaped my passion for supporting children ages 3–10 with emotional regulation, attention challenges, anger, and behavioral outbursts.
I also have a special interest in supporting youth with problematic sexualized behaviors and in working with boys who may be struggling with porn addiction or other risky and impulsive sexual concerns. It can be hard to know where to turn in a time of struggle and I deeply value family and caregiver partnerships when working with sensitive situations.
You will find that I also draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), ERP, and attachment skills to help improve child and family mental health. I know that every child and family is unique and I am comfortable adjusting my approaches based on the developmental age of the child and the specific needs of the family.
