My integrative approach provides a client-centered and supportive environment where my clients learn skills, process trauma, and create change. My work draws from numerous psychological and counseling theories including: existential-humanistic theory, psychodynamic theories and practice, object-relations, systems theories, DBT and CBT. My approach to counseling and psychotherapy is a collaborative process. Somatic Revelations, LLC offers psychotherapy and dance/movement therapy services specializing in the following areas: play and movement-based therapy with children and families & individual psychotherapy (verbal and Creative Arts Therapy) with teens, adults, retirees, & couples, program & private clinical consultation for mental health professionals.
The foundation of my work is based in dance/movement therapy, an integrative Creative Arts Therapy approach that recognizes the complex interaction between mind, body and spirit. I use creative arts and play approaches in combination with verbal techniques. My trauma-informed approach integrates my training in EMDR and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
