About
I have focused primarily on young people in my professional career and work particularly well with middle and high school-aged adolescents. I believe in a multi-systemic and collaborative approach in working with youths. Addressing family and social system as a whole is a necessity, as all members of a child’s community impact who they are, what they internalize and externalize. I work to help clients accept where they are and who they are while challenging them to work towards and reach their goals - to become the people that they want to be, holistically healthy individuals and families. Clinical Supervision is also available.
I have worked primarily in the non-profit, community mental health sector, treating a variety of conditions. Working with PTSD and traumatic experience has been a particular emphasis of mine over the past 5 years. Specific Evidence-Based Practices may also be used during sessions, such as Trauma-Focused CBT, Triple P Parenting, and Seven Challenges.
Everyone experiences challenges in life but no one needs to face those challenges alone. Seeking help no matter what the challenge or circumstance shows strength and wisdom. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment in which clients feel they are heard and valued. I am excited to take that first step with you.
