I believe counseling is a safe space to pause, breathe, and begin again. Life’s challenges—whether rooted in past trauma, grief, relationship struggles, or daily stress—can leave us feeling overwhelmed and uncertain. My goal as a counselor-in-training is to walk alongside you as we uncover meaning, build resilience, and create healthier patterns for living. I integrate practical tools with a compassionate presence. I honor each client’s unique story and values, and I strive to create an environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment or pressure.

I believe the patterns we struggle with often started as ways to survive. Substance use, compulsive behaviors, anxiety, shutting down, or feeling stuck can all be signs of an underlying battle. I want to help you face that battle without shame and equip you with tools to reclaim your freedom.

My ideal client is someone who is interested in investing in themselves. When I sense they are working clients who are passionate about getting into the deeper details: to learn that they are truly and genuinely worthy of love and are worth great value. I feel so excited to relate with them, and share stories, to understand their story.

Does your mind understand what happened to you but your body doesn’t quite feel settled? Or maybe you can’t make sense of any of it yet. It’s hard carrying around thoughts and feelings in the mind and body from the past; the past feels so much alive in the present as you walk through life. That is how unresolved trauma and emotions often feel. It’s important to help the whole person (body, mind, and emotions) heal from past wounds through a supportive and integrative therapeutic approach.

You don’t have to keep pretending everything’s fine. Maybe you’re feeling like roommates instead of partners. Conversations turn into arguments, silence feels safer than honesty, and you’re wondering how things got this far off track. Whether you’re navigating trust issues, communication breakdowns, emotional distance, infidelity, or the quiet disconnection that builds over time — you’re not alone. Relationships are hard, even when love is present. But with the right support, healing and reconnection are possible.

I serve clients in Texas and Colorado. Are you working with challenging experiences and past traumas? The ways in which we choose to make meaning of these experiences are fundamentally personal choices. My approach is non-judgmental. I offer traditional psychotherapy, EMDR, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and psychedelic integration therapy.

Using CBT, IFS, DBT and mindfulness we will build coping strategies together to address feelings of anxiety, depression, grief, and caretaker burnout.
If you are a parent or caretaker who just received an ADHD or Autism diagnosis for your child and is trying to hold it all together, this is for you. You may be researching therapies, learning new acronyms, advocating at school, and somewhere in the middle of that, you have not been able to take care of yourself. You want to feel supported and less alone in this journey. You want tools, not just sympathy. You are a parent full of love for a child the world does not always make space for. You want to show up for your child. All without burning out in the process.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, at a standstill, or unsure of your next step, therapy can offer a supportive space to slow down and reconnect with yourself. Life doesn’t always unfold the way we expect, and at times, it can feel like you’re navigating challenges without a clear map. My hope is that through our work together, you’ll gain clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of direction rooted in your own values and strengths.

It's not easy to ask for help. Maybe you've shared your situation with close friends or family and received support and advice, but things aren't really getting better. Maybe you've been hesitant to seek out a therapist. The fact that you're here now is a demonstration of your commitment and dedication to your own personal growth and your relationships. Whether you're experiencing anxiety or depression, or you're looking for a relationship, healing from a relationship that's ended, or are in a relationship you want to strengthen or repair, you're in the right place.

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
