I help people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or difficult life transitions. My specialty is helping people who come from difficult circumstances and are now struggling emotionally or with their relationships because of this. I assist people to heal from their painful past, with an emphasis on the wounds of early childhood. We work together to think about attachment and our relationships and I use evidence based treatments such as EMDR, DBT, ego-state therapy, and trauma-informed stabilization treatment. I teach a variety of techniques to cope with trauma-related stress and anxiety and am certified in EMDR.

Are you feeling stuck in the same old patterns in your life and ready for a change? Maybe you're feeling the weight of anxiety, depression, grief, or trauma and could use a hand in healing the past to experience freedom from it in the future. Have you noticed you keep getting into the same types of relationship challenges? It is normal for people to feel conflicted and get in our own way - it's part of being human! And we often need someone outside ourselves, friends, and family to help sort through the nitty-gritty thoughts, feelings, and fears. You don't have to face these issues alone.

I am a licensed psychologist with over 30 years of experience working with clients. My work is based upon my belief that human beings are inherently good and yet all too often adopt limiting belief systems and habitual behavioral patterns which keep us from realizing our true nature. I work with clients who wish to regain their balance and integrity and assist them in learning how to live the lives they intuitively know they are meant to live. Clients often present with depression, anxiety and/or relationship difficulties and seek to feel better and sustain more on-going joy, love, and harmony in their lives.

You’re both trying to connect, but somehow you just keep missing each other. Even with good intentions, conversations turn tense and your body stays on edge. Couples therapy helps to slow things down, find safety, and understand what’s really happening beneath the stress. Together we’ll create a space that invites authentic vulnerability that leads to deeper connections. A bonus of this kind of work is that you get to experience your partner in a new way, take things less personally, and ultimately feel better in all your relationships.

You look like you’ve got it together—the career, the smile, the hustle. But inside, you’re running on fumes. Maybe it’s betrayal, burnout, or that quiet voice asking, “Is this really it?” You’ve spent years keeping it all together for everyone else and now you can’t tell what’s real anymore. I work with people who are tired of faking “fine,” ready to face the truth, and done abandoning themselves to keep the peace. You’re not broken—you’re just ready to come home to yourself.

Having faced PTSD myself, I know how dark life can look, but I also know the way out. Let me help guide you toward a brighter future. Together, we’ll play detective, unearth the roots of your struggles, unravel what’s holding you back, and create interventions that resonate.

I know that it can be incredibly difficult to reach out and ask for help. I think it is one of the bravest things a person can do. I also believe that change and hope are very real. I would be honored and privileged to get to be the person that walks beside you in your journey of healing.

ADHD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.
How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.
Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.
How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
