Sex-Positive, Kink Allied Therapists in Spring, TX
Arguments with your partner are becoming more and more frequent. The honeymoon phase is long gone. And let's face it, your sex life has been mediocre at best. Even the thought of intimacy leads to anxiety and frustration. You find yourself questioning, "Is there something wrong with me?" ... "I should enjoy sex more." ... "I won't be able to please my partner". Physical intimacy has become a trigger for you, and avoidance has only added to the disconnect between you and your partner. The enthusiasm and luster for sex has faded.

You’ve checked all the boxes. Career, education, & independence. Yet, you still don’t feel like enough.
You smile on the outside, but underneath the surface, you're exhausted from managing everyone else's expectations while ignoring your own needs. You find yourself overthinking, people-pleasing, doubting your worth, and struggling to say "no" without guilt. You’re burnt out from being the strong one for too long.
My goal is to help high-achieving Black and Brown women quiet the inner critic, build real confidence, and start showing up in life and relationships without shrinking.

How many times have you thought about going to counseling only to say to yourself"I'll be fine, there's nothing wrong with me, this will pass"? Me too, until it was obvious I wasn't fine, there was something wrong and it wasn't going to pass. It is a scary proposition to sit down with a complete stranger and tell them your innermost thoughts and emotions. I believe that most of us know where we are and where we want to be, but sometimes understanding what got us where we are and how we are going to get where we want to be are not so clear. I can help you get where you want to be. It isn't always easy, but it is worth it.

You don’t have to hold it all together here. I know what it’s like to carry so much in silence, which is why I offer a space where you can fully exhale and be supported without judgment or rush. My work focuses on inner child healing, mindfulness, and somatic integration, helping you reconnect with yourself in a grounded and compassionate way. Sessions may include both moments of clarity and moments of grief. All of it is welcome. I also incorporate heart-centered hypnotherapy when appropriate. I accept insurance and offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekend sessions (Saturday and Sunday, 8 AM–5 PM).

¡Hola!
I am an advocate for working with all marginalized populations. I empathize with experiences related to micro-aggressions, discrimination, intergenerational trauma, substance abuse, violence in the home, and other oppressive and traumatic experiences. I enjoy working with clients who are aware there's a need for change, and I am dedicated to working towards goals that may be unclear at first. I thoroughly believe that we are all the experts of our own lives and only we can recognize the struggles we’ve faced.

At the heart of my work is a deep belief that every person and every couple deserves to feel connected, valued, and understood. Many of the couples who come to me share a common story: they still care deeply for one another, yet the spark has dimmed. Conversations feel surface-level, physical intimacy has faded, and the closeness they once relied on feels out of reach. I see this not as the end of a relationship, but as an invitation—a chance to slow down, rediscover each other, and begin again with honesty and intention.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I have always known that helping people was what I wanted to do. I believe that we all do the best that we can with what is presented to us but can get stuck trying to manage life's challenges and dealing with past, impactful experiences. I believe that, with a willingness to reflect on self and to try new skills, anyone can change and regain control of his or her life. I really enjoy helping clients work through traumatic experiences but also work with general anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and everyday stress.

Unlike many therapists, I bring firsthand experience in high-stakes roles. As a LMFT, I help men, couples, and high-functioning individuals navigate anxiety, infidelity, trauma, PTSD, and relationship challenges. My approach is direct, respectful, and focused on solutions. We co-create a space where clients can freely, without judgement, develop practical tools to move forward with confidence.

Sex-Positive, Kink Allied Therapists
Why might an individual want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?
A sex-positive or kinky individual may want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist because the client may feel safer and more supported discussing their experiences and challenges. A therapist who identifies as kink-friendly will have experience with clients having diverse sexual preferences and will likely be nonjudgmental and supportive about issues brought to the table. It is important to note that sex-positive, kink-allied individuals may find equal success with therapists who do not have such specialized knowledge and background. The most important factor in the success of therapy is for the client and practitioner to form a strong, trusting bond.
Do therapists have special training to gain expertise in sex-positive, kink-allied treatment?
Generally, no. There are limited training programs and unofficial accreditations that therapists can pursue, but a therapist’s expertise will ultimately come from their previous experience with similar clients, their engagement with organizations that promote sex positivity or kink-allied lifestyles, and the importance they place on safety and cultural sensitivity.
How can individuals recognize a good sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?
An experienced therapist is able to help clients explore their sexual identity and expression and relieve any discomfort or stigma attached to discussing such matters and the client’s overall challenges. A therapist who is sex-positive and kink-allied is able to create an environment that honors a client’s experience and sexual preferences. To recognize a good therapist, clients can simply ask directly about topics and issues important to them and gauge their comfort level and connection with a clinician based on the responses.
Can clients benefit from having a therapist with a focus on sex positivity and alternative sexual lifestyles?
Some individuals may feel most comfortable knowing that the clinician they’re working with has a commitment to creating an atmosphere of sex positivity and has experience with relationship diversity and alternative relationship structures. Working with a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist may help clients respect their own challenges and improve identity-affirming treatment.
