My approach is Christian counseling , which is an integration of psychological principles that are consistent with Biblical truths.
When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul." (Psalm 94:19) There are times in our life when obstacles from our past or circumstances from the present can cause emotional and spiritual unrest. The unrest, if persistent can negatively impact the educational, social and professional aspects of a person's life.

Christian counseling is available for clients requesting it.
Life can be much different than what we expected it would be. Sure, on the outside it might look to others like you have it all together... but the truth is actually far from that. In reality, your emotional energy is totally depleted. Your relationships are strained. You’re more irritable than you think you should be. Something within you feels really off, and you constantly fight nagging worry, emptiness, or feeling like you're not enough. Maybe you even experience guilt that someone like you should be able to just "get over it" or "deal with it" on your own— and this guilt only perpetuates the negative cycle you’re stuck in.

Also, a faith-based approach ( Christian Counseling ) can be incorporated into each session upon request.
“...Be transformed by the renewing of your mind...”- Romans 12:2. Whether you're a child, teen or an adult, the journey of life can sometimes create unwanted circumstances that cause elements of fear, stress, anxiety, sadness, grief, shame and even a sense of lost control. I am here to help! It is my passion and highest desire to assist those seeking to reclaim their greatest quality of life. I hold to the idea that counseling is most effective when it's customized/person-centered and designed to include all aspects of the human mind, body and spirit.

I offer Christian counseling for clients desiring to integrate faith.
I'm ready to offer a warm and accepting environment where you feel comfortable. My passion is to connect with others and genuinely "see" them for who they are and meet them where they are in life. If you are struggling with the relationships in your life, such as your spouse, parents, children, in-laws, siblings, or friendships, we can work together toward more safety, boundaries, reconnection or better communication in these relationships.

I've had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, with individuals, couples, and families experiencing different challenges. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you, and to walk together to heal, to unlock your potential, and to achieve your goals. Being from a different country has become a strength in my practice to naturally be culturally sensitive in my sessions and to have more meaningful interactions with my clients of different backgrounds.

We all struggle with the ups and downs of life. My passion is working with children (ages 3 and older) and families to promote healthy and happy individuals and relationships. I hope to help my clients enhance their own individual strengths, better their relationships with others, and enjoy the most out of everyday interactions and experiences. Solution Focused and Attachment-Based therapy are the primary approaches I utilize in treating clients. As human beings, I believe we are wired to connect with others and that individual change and healing influences relational change and healing.

Within themselves, each person has the power and strength to tackle the challenges and difficulties they face. It’s my job, as a clinician, to help them access that power and strength, and I do this by first providing a non-judgmental and positive environment. This allows us to identify the thoughts and perceptions that are influencing their actions, both positive and negative. Real, affirming change can happen when we openly examine the thinking that is holding us back and work to change those thoughts that are no longer servicing our goals. I’m excited to help clients with that self-examination and re-building process.

Being a parent is hard. Being a Christian parent, to a hurting child, in a secular world, is even harder. Your child, or even you, may be struggling with anxiety or other mental health or behavioral concerns. You want your child to talk to you and tell you how they're feeling. You want to know what to say to comfort them and what to do when they're in a crisis. You want answers to all the questions swirling in your head and heart right now. I can help you answer them by teaching you about powerful, prayerful parenting.

Your relationship is worth fighting for, but it shouldn't be something that you fight over. Though finances, sex, religion, and spiritual faith can be common issues that people argue over, there are many more things that challenge relationships, and I've had the benefit and pleasure to help many people in diverse relational difficulties. You are not alone, quite literally every adult has faced difficulty within relationships. Whether there has been infidelity, loss of trust, abusive tendencies, lost connections, lack of relational congruency or cohesion, poor communication, family problems, commitment issues, or irresponsibility.

There is no 'right' way through this. There is just 'through.' Families are under tremendous pressure, even more so during these times. Children & teens spent too long without their social support and are now trying to achieve a new normal. This fear and anxiety of the unknown is similar to those experienced by adults recently. I can help adults, teens, & children work through the fear, anxiety, stress and trauma and help you build strong, healthy, resilient individuals and families. I enjoy working with all ages and specialize in family conflict, anxiety/depression, trauma, PTSD, Veterans, First Responders, & child specialties.

Trauma impacts our ability to foster and maintain relationships, as it often impacts us in the domains such as safety, esteem, trust, intimacy, and power & control. Resolving trauma through processing leads to your ability to live a more fulfilled life, which is my goal in therapy. I believe that we have the ability to choose how to resolve our own problems and can make our own decisions with the assistance of an empathetic facilitator. I also believe that self-awareness is key to developing purpose, direction, and motivation to change, and my approach will provide you with methods to solve problems utilizing your own strengths.

Two words: life happens! Therapy helps us live more purposeful, self-aware lives. There is nothing sweeter, to me, than healing trauma and breaking chains. Trauma seeps through many aspects of our lives, and if we're not careful, can drastically alter our response to the world around us. It is important to move toward existing in the world the way we choose to exist, not what's projected onto us. Also, life happens in the context of relationships; therefore, couples therapy sets my soul ablaze. Couples seeking to grow or overcome obstacles is incredibly intimate work. I am honored to walk alongside and help heal your covenant.

How can I find a therapist in Spring?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

What type of therapist is right for me?

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
