I have over six years of experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist working with families and individuals who are suffering from relationship conflicts, depression , anxiety and trauma.
NOW OFFERING ON-LINE OR TELEHEALTH SESSIONS Reaching out is not easy, and starting your healing journey is less so. Feeling sad, anxious, fearful or hopeless can be scary and lonely for someone who has no idea where to start to get better. While many of the topics shared by my clients are hurtful and frightening, I also find humor can be helpful. I strive to be honest and transparent with my clients while providing them with a safe, non-judgmental space in which to explore all issues you're dealing.

It is hard to understand depression and anxiety and why it happens. Many people do not understand it and it makes it difficult to talk to them about it. I know it was for me after I had my second son, but I got help and it worked. That is when I decided to become a therapist and help others through depression . Being human means we feel pain and at times we do not know what to do with all that pain. I am here to tell you there is a way out of it. There is a way to feel better.

We all experience difficult personal times when we need to reach out for additional support. The main issues I see walk in my door are: depression , mood disorders, anger issues, suicidal thoughts/ attempts, hearing voices or seeing things that aren't there, self-esteems issues, relationship problems (whether with family or spouses), struggling with substance abuse, and more.
Ever feel like no one understands you? Wish you could talk to someone without judgment or bias? Have something wrong but are not sure how to vocalize the issue? That is exactly what counseling is for. I offer you a setting that is safe to work through whatever issue you are struggling with, whether you have a specific goal or just need an outlet. My mission as a counselor is to support anyone that is struggling, by educating them, listening to them, or help by working with the family. Due to high demand at this time I am not accepting new clients.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
