Most Marriage and Family Therapists study systems. Even if an individual comes alone to a counseling session, they bring many influences. My role is to help you find your unique path amid the many voices, and become your best self. I have observed that almost everyone has had a time where they wondered if they have all the necessary life tools to move in a positive direction. Utilizing a safe environment, individual creativity and resources, I have seen people truly Become.

Supervised by Leslie Bley, LPC-S Texas / 75462 I’m a counselor and founder of Pathways Restored Counseling. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation, not something sterile or intimidating, while utilizing evidenced-based interventions. My approach is relational, honest, and focused on helping you actually experience change, not just talk about it. I work with families, couples, women, young adults, and teens navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, singleness, betrayal, divorce, and life transitions.

Are you longing for deeper connection and peace but feel stuck in patterns that keep you isolated, overwhelmed, or spiritually dry? Many people who come to therapy with me have tried doing it all — prayer, self-work, therapy, community — and still feel like something essential is missing. I help adults and couples who are ready to get to the root, process grief, heal relational wounds, and experience genuine connection with themselves and others. My approach blends warm, relational therapy with evidence-based practices and biblical spiritual integration.

My ideal client is a thoughtful, high-achieving adult who quietly carries too much. They’re burnt out, overwhelmed, or noticing patterns that make life harder than it should be. They want emotional intelligence, better communication, healthier intimacy, and a deeper connection with themselves. They’re ready to stop "performing" strength and start building it—intentionally, creatively, and with support.

Are you the cycle breaker or soul seeker: feeling strong, capable, and high-functioning on the outside, but carrying a lot beneath the surface? Yet, you keep going. You hold it together. You’re the steady one. The dependable one. The one everyone leans on. And somewhere along the way, the weight of it all started to feel heavy. Your mind rarely slows down, replaying old moments, running future scenarios, pushing through it all. And now, you’re seeking healing, not just coping, and a space to feel supported, seen, and less alone. A place to exhale, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. If this resonates, you're in the right place.

Along the road, we all developed temporary tools to solve the problems in our lives. Unfortunately, we often forgot to stop using those tools, and they became "permanent." In the end, using the wrong tool to solve a problem does not make one's life better, only worse. In therapy, I work with adolescents and adults to re-tool and get more of what they want out of life. Let's get started!

Sexual Addiction Therapists
When should someone seek treatment for sex addiction?
People should seek treatment for sex addiction if they cannot control their sexual thoughts or behaviours to the point that it disrupts their ability to function in daily life, for example by threatening their finances, career, or relationships. This may include spending an excessive amount of time obsessing over sex, planning sex, watching pornography, or masturbating, as well as consistently engaging in risky sexual activities, using sex to escape distressing feelings, or attempting yet failing to control sexual behavior.

What are the most common treatment options for sex addiction?
Psychotherapy is the most common treatment for sex addiction; therapy helps patients better understand their compulsive thoughts and behaviors and develop strategies to manage their desires. Therapy may be supplemented by medications, such as antidepressants, mood stabilizers, anti-androgens, and the alcohol and substance use medication Naltrexone, as well as support groups, such as 12-step programs.

How long does therapy take for sex addiction?
Recovering from compulsive behavior takes time and effort. There’s no precise timeline for treatment, but research suggests 12 therapy sessions may be enough to see change. Treatment for sexual compulsions requires honesty in therapy, a commitment to understanding triggers and developing coping skills, and potential lifestyle changes such as cutting out alcohol or drugs.

What if sex addiction is left untreated?
Compulsive sexual behavior can have serious repercussions if left unaddressed. For example, if sexual obsessions consume the vast majority of a person’s time, they may lose their job. If they can’t stop paying for sex, their finances may suffer. If they’re dishonest in their relationships, their partner may leave them. If they consistently feel shame, they may struggle with anxiety, depression, or loneliness. Therapy can help people develop the tools to manage sexual thoughts and behaviors that feel uncontrollable.
