Everyone needs someone in their life to help validate their feelings and experiences. We have a tendency to focus more on our physical body than of our thoughts. Sometimes we may feel depressed or anxious without knowing the reason. Sometimes everything can be perfect in your life yet you still feel this sadness. This is not uncommon and talking to a therapist can help. I use a holistic approach when working with my clients. I provide a safe space with acceptance of who you are. I help my clients create goals for themselves and then we work on accomplishing them together.

I also have experience with helping clients understand their anger, anxiety, depression , low self-esteem/self-confidence as well as other behavior and emotional concerns.
Are you asking yourself these questions? “Do I really need therapy?” “Can I really tell this stranger my thoughts?” “Will this person judge me?” Then, you tell yourself, “I don’t need help!” If you can identify with any of those questions and maybe a few more that are not listed, you may be ready to take the next step and start therapy. You can share your thoughts in a safe space, and you will not be judged.

The decision to begin psychotherapy is an important step towards personal growth and greater self-awareness. It is likely that you are experiencing some distress but also hopeful that by committing yourself to this process you will improve your mental health and overall satisfaction. An important part of succeeding in psychotherapy is your motivation level and a good match between you and your therapist. If you are experiencing depression , anxiety, relationship distress, or sexual intimacy issues, I recommend we arrange a brief phone interview so you can note how it feels to share these private matters with me.

Your story is unique, your experiences unlike ANY other. The process is to find you as you are, and to journey together to where you want to be. My years of work with traumatized and grief-stricken clients and families have brought the conclusion that anxiety, depression , and interpersonal relationships are the barriers to a healthy self, to a meaningful and purposeful life. Determining the causes and our role in these barriers (overwhelming and unduly burdensome at times) will begin to get us unstuck. Circumstances likely have driven you to the point of therapy, but a great opportunity to regain control and find the healthy you.

I specialize in depression ,anxiety and bipolar disorders as well as relationship issues.
The decision to enter into therapy is a very personal one, and who you do it with is important. I can offer a peaceful and safe place to explore who you are and the difficulties you may be having,in order to live a happier life. I listen fully in an effort to see you truly, but I'm quite interactive. I'm deep at times, and I'm playful and practical as well, helping you figure out solutions and to make plans. This is a joint process where we come together to make your life better.

Welcome! I work with helpers & high achievers looking to find joy and renewed energy - for themselves & the people they serve. You want to do your best, your purpose is to leave this world a better place, but you struggle with finding flow in your life. Your work is based in helping others, and you find yourself constantly over-giving to your work, taking work (or work-stress) home, and putting your work commitments before yourself and your family. You then feel guilt & shame for doing it. Untreated, the result is overwhelm, depression , anxiety, guilt, shame, feeling "stuck", and becoming numb to your purpose or life.

Anxiety, depression , and other conditions oftentimes overlap.
Anxiety interferes with our ability to maximize our potential and can debilitate our ability to interact with others. The persistent worry and physical symptoms that accompany that worry manifest into intrusions in our daily living. The struggle of dealing with anxiety is all-encompassing and is a difficult journey to venture through alone. I work with people to help them find lasting relief from the symptoms of anxiety and the unhealthy patterns that they develop to deal with it.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
