My passion in therapy stems from believing that everyone has a unique life story to bring into counseling and they need a place to safely explore that story. I am an empathic and understanding counselor who works motivationally with my clients to give them the opportunity to develop greater awareness of this story and how they understand themselves and their challenges. My desire is to collaboratively work with my clients using various methods and expressive techniques so that through therapy clients reconnect with themselves, their strengths, and develop new ways of being and connecting with others.

Trauma through abuse, loss, and combat can have profound effects on the human psyche and spirit. There is no reason to carry the solid block of ice that a traumatic memory can become if we allow it. I have been in practice for 25 years with solid experience in working with individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, work, marital and relationship conflict. We offer mental skill training for athletes of all levels, professionals looking for an edge, weekend warriors, and anyone who wants to build a strong mental game. Skills like mental toughness, anxiety and emotion management around performance, focus, routine, visualization, and goal setting are all trainable. We take a cognitive behavioral approach, combined with sport and performance psychology principles, Self-Determination Theory, and Positive Psychology, to build a high-performance mindset. You will learn to consistently perform at the high end of your abilities and manage obstacles, slumps, or distractions when they arise.
