Therapy Made Simple If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, OCD, eating disorders, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Therapy can be a place where you finally exhale, feel understood, and begin moving forward with clarity and confidence. I believe therapy does not have to feel intimidating or clinical. Think of it more like sitting down for a cup of coffee and having a real, honest conversation about what matters most to you. Hi, I’m Jeralyn R. Tharp, M.Ed., LPCC-S, LICDC, GAMB, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor & Supervisor, Licensed I

Trauma through abuse, loss, and combat can have profound effects on the human psyche and spirit. There is no reason to carry the solid block of ice that a traumatic memory can become if we allow it. I have been in practice for over 33 years with solid experience in working with individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, work, marital and relationship conflict. I specialize in issues of trauma, abuse, and grief and loss. There is always a healthier way to cope with daily life problems; the answer is always within.

Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating. I believe it can feel more like sitting down with a warm cup of coffee and having a real, honest conversation. I’m Jeralyn R. Tharp, M.Ed., LPCC-S, LICDC, GAMB, with over 29 years of experience supporting teens, adults, veterans, and families through anxiety, trauma, addiction, OCD, eating disorders, and life transitions. I own a group practice, so if I’m not the best fit, we have trusted providers in-house. Many clients attend therapy for little to no cost with just a copay—even if a deductible hasn’t been met.

I've worked in the field for 26 years and providing EMDR for over 19. I specialize in treating unresolved trauma issues, as well as depression, stress and anxiety. Traumatic issues include childhood abuse (physical, sexual, emotional abuse and neglect), sexual assault (including military), crime/theft, car accidents, grief/loss, combat, first responders/medical professionals, veterans (including moral injury) and poor leadership. My experience has taught me that most of the time depression and anxiety are unresolved emotional wounds that haven't been fully addressed. When addressed those injuries will be resolved.

I work with a wide variety of people with different backgrounds and complaints. Patients may complain of depression, anxiety, anger, mood fluctuation, difficulty sleeping, obsessive behaviors, impulsivity, difficulty concentrating, paranoia, hallucinations, addiction, and more. People simply want to be able to be in control of these symptoms and reach the point where they're not impacting their lives in any negative way. Patients want to optimize their abilities and break down barriers that stand in their way.
