God uses my MA in Marriage & Family Therapy as well as previous medical experience as a RN to uniquely offer therapy in both the medical field with life-changing health problems like cancer, infertility, depression, & anxiety as well as family system issues.
God values your family unit and so do I. Unfortunately in today's stressful world disharmony results. Reaching out for help can be difficult, but it’s the beginning of change. I am honored to hear your story and walk with you on your journey providing encouragement and empowerment while you’re feeling vulnerable and offering guidance and direction when needed. Through Biblical counseling I strive to help you see yourself as Christ sees you. You are unique, precious and deeply loved by God who wants to heal your whole person: body, soul, & spirit. I also find joy in supervising like-minded students/associates in Christian counseling.

I provide individual and family therapy to those struggling with depression, anxiety, infertility, relationship and family issues.
Anxiety, depression, grief, and anger are emotions that are in all of us. Experiences and trauma can cause these emotions to surface. I see these rise often in infertility and loss, family building, in life transitions, and in relationships from the past or present. I can help you work through these feelings and to help you get emotionally healthy again!

The pressure of your journey ( infertility/women's health concerns, body image difficulties, trauma) can feel isolating.
If you’re quietly carrying fertility struggles, women’s health challenges, an eating disorder, trauma, grief, or the constant pressure to hold everything together, you deserve a place where you don’t have to be strong for everyone else. In our work, you’ll have a warm, steady partner who sees the parts of you that feel tired, scared, or unseen. Together we’ll untangle what hurts, soften the shame, and rebuild your sense of safety and self-trust. You don’t have to navigate this alone—reach out. Your healing matters, and taking this step could be the moment things start to shift.

Areas of Focus in my Practice: Life Transitions, Depression, Anxiety, Perinatal and Postpartum Depression and Anxiety, Pregnancy Loss, Grief and Loss, Infertility, Work/Family Balance, Transforming Relationships, Parenting, Perimenopause, Menopause
I have dedicated the last 20 years to issues uniquely related to women struggling with overwhelming life transitions, painful family dynamics, grief and loss, and mood disorders. I strive to provide a safe place where you can speak freely without fear of judgement and be fully understood. It is from this emotionally safe place that you will gain insight into yourself and your relationships. Often, what we believe about ourselves is inaccurate, and the resulting misplaced guilt is common among women. We will explore and develop new ways of perceiving yourself and others, while practicing new communication styles and strategies.

No insurance? Limited income? No problem. Counselors at NFCC believe that Jesus Changes Everything. While therapists are trained to encourage and motivate change, we realize that this happens best with Christian counseling. When both the therapist and client work together under the guidance of the Holy Spirit through Biblical-based counseling, you can experience real and lasting transformation. God's love pouring through the counselor offers hope and empathy in a shame and guilt free environment making it safe to practice vulnerability and transparency, which is a giant step toward recovery. Come share your emotional burdens.

Does your relationship feel more like a roommate agreement than a romantic relationship? Maybe sex feels more complicated now than ever before? You'd give anything to go back to the connection you had before the stress of life and babies built the resentment that you can't quite move past. Or life just feels heavier than you thought it would, and you're struggling to find any form of connection that feels good. We will sort through the expectations you once carried, whether you chose them or they were silently handed to you, and figure out what actually fits you now.

You deserve to feel connected and safe in your closest relationships. It is lonely, painful, and frustrating when those relationships aren't going as you'd like. You may be confused about how to help a child who is struggling. You might wonder if you're making the right choices for your child and you may even worry that you're a bad parent. Or, maybe you feel disconnected from a partner. You long to feel close to the person you care about, but years of hurt and bottled up emotion make it difficult to know where to start.

Infertility Therapists

How can infertility affect couples and their relationship?

Clients who are dealing with infertility may experience conflict and communication problems. It’s not unusual for shame, blame, and guilt to arise in cases of infertility, whether the source of the problem is one partner or both. This means that clients are upset and pulling away from their partner just when they need them the most. Some clients may find it difficult to spend time around friends and family who are pregnant. Friends and family can also make hurtful comments that increase tension during this time.

How does therapy for infertility issues work?

The therapist will begin by gathering information about the client or couple and make a treatment plan for their specific concerns. In addition to addressing common mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma reactions or PTSD, therapists can help clients improve their decision-making and deal with stressors unique to infertility. Some examples include coping with the “two-week wait” before a pregnancy test, the distress associated with a failed attempt or miscarriage, and the shame and blame sometimes associated with reproductive concerns.

What type of therapy is best for infertility issues?

Many therapists offer psychotherapy for individuals and couples who are dealing with infertility issues. Some helpful therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which can aid clients in reframing negative thoughts about their situation. Expressive writing and art therapy can help clients process difficult feelings. Clients might also benefit from group therapy to experience support from others who are dealing with the same problems.

How long does therapy for infertility issues take?

There is no set length for therapy that addresses infertility or reproductive concerns. Some clients might find it helpful to continue therapy during their pregnancy to have healthy ways to cope with any associated stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma. Some clients who decide not to pursue fertility treatments might benefit from the support of a therapist. The duration of therapy varies depending on the individual client’s specific needs and goals.
