The clients I usually work with have experienced some kind of traumatic event(s) currently and/or in their past and are struggling with functioning in their daily lives because of the impacts of the event(s) on their mind, body, and relationships. I work with adults, teens and their families who are experiencing stress, dysregluated emotions, strained relationships, and poor self-esteem. These individuals and families want to stop their negative moods and experiences but feel powerless to change them.

I specialize in working with individuals navigating infertility and reproductive mental health concerns, anxiety, depression, OCD, and life transitions. I integrate tools from evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy ( DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to meet the unique needs of each client.
What's past is prologue; past hurts, habits, or regrets are not changeable, but building understanding for how they have affected you and learning new ways to handle things now is the key to feeling and living more freely. I specialize in working with adolescents, teens, and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. I strongly believe in providing respectful and affirming care to all clients, including those who are neurodivergent or LGBTQ+.

Evening in person sessions available! Sliding Scales available! Everyone deserves a space where they feel safe, heard, and supported. I offer a client-centered, trauma-informed space for adolescents (13+) and adults to feel supported, seen, and empowered. I believe therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken, but about uncovering the strengths you already have and using them as a foundation for growth and healing.

Life sometimes takes us in directions that are unknown, unwanted, unexpected and out of our control. When it does, many times they can appear overwhelming and difficult to face these issues and emotions by ourselves. Sometimes we feel that is the only option in order to succeed and not experience or display shame, blame or guilt. What we tend to forget ( and is not always encouraged) is reaching out to others to assist and lean on. We can explore and attempt to overcome these issues together. My role would be to ride alongside with you, supportively, with an open mind, to help you achieve the life that best fits you.

I use a great amount of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
I have extensive experience working with families and groups. Past patients have appreciated that there was an understanding that giving everything to the process was how to move forward. Seeing that change and taking the steps they need to heal themselves is such a beautiful process.

I draw on a range of evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapies ( DBT).
You don’t need to have it all figured out to start moving forward. Maybe you’ve tried pushing through on your own, but the stress, anxiety, or depression keeps showing up. That doesn’t mean you’re broken; it means you’re human. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A), my role is to help you reconnect with your strengths, find balance, and discover new tools to support your healing journey. Together, we’ll not only work through what’s hard but also build a life that feels more grounded, fulfilling, and genuinely yours.

You wake up every day feeling like you’re living a lie. You are always super careful with what you say or do to make sure you’re not judged or treated differently by others. Maybe you even catch yourself wishing you were “normal” and hating who you are. It can be very confusing trying to navigate our world as a gay man. You often feel on edge and exhausted trying to fit in with the norm of what our society says a man should be! It can be confusing trying to make sense of all the different parts that make up who are, such as gender, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity and religious beliefs.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
