Do you battle a mind that won't quiet, feel overwhelmed by worry or sadness, carry heavy past experiences, or turn to unhealthy habits just to cope. It's natural to feel isolated and frustrated when the path to lasting change isn't clear. If this resonates, you're in the right place. Imagine finally gaining control over overwhelming thoughts and feelings, finding peace from difficult memories, building practical skills for a more fulfilling daily life, and feeling empowered to navigate challenges with confidence

Do you feel like no matter how hard you try, your partner remains distant? You’ve probably read all the books, followed the Instagram advice, held back your true feelings to keep the peace, and explained your needs over & over again but nothing changes. It feels like the entire relationship rests on your shoulders, leaving you drained, anxious, and constantly wondering if you’re too much or not enough. The harder you try to fix things, the more distant your partner becomes.

A few openings available... Are parts of your life going well, yet certain dilemmas persist despite attempts to make changes? Many of the people who see me are intelligent, capable, or thoughtful—each in their own way. They may be high-achieving in many areas or accustomed to taking care of others—and yet still struggle with behaviors or situations that don’t seem to shift, despite their insight or effort. Whether you’re navigating complex relationships, managing stress or anxiety, or seeking meaningful change, I work with individuals invested in understanding their lives—both internally and externally.

Have you ever looked at your reflection and wondered who you are? Do you ever feel lost or wonder where you are headed? Confession- I have. I realized later in life that my calling was to become a therapist. Long before returning to college, I received on-the-job training through my own experiences as a mother, wife, friend, and as an individual struggling with depression and anxiety. These experiences helped prepare me for my role as a therapist, along with losing my 34-year-old son in 2023. Just like my clients, I looked for a therapist to talk to, one who would listen and be able to understand where I was coming from.

My counseling style is compassionate and direct. I use CBT, solution focused, and mindfulness therapies to help resolve negative thoughts and emotions and work towards more realistic and positive self-assessment. It takes a great deal of courage to ask for help and I honor you for taking the first step! Many of us struggle silently with emotional pain, physical discomfort and racing thoughts related to anxiety, or lack of motivation due to depression. I believe everyone has the potential to learn new skills to manage symptoms, improve communication, self-motivate, and regain a sense of self-control.

Life is full of ups and downs. A big transition, the death of a loved one, or a traumatic event can show up as anxiety, depression, addiction, or even physical pain. These feelings don’t have to linger. With evidence-based therapies, such as EMDR, I can help you overcome traumatic events or simply unhealthy (and often untrue) ways of thinking of yourself and emerge as the new you with the clarity, confidence, and joy needed to live the life you deserve.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my primary obligation is to respect the integrity and to promote the welfare of my client. I see counseling as a process in which you, the client, and I, the counselor, having come to understand and trust one another, work as a team to explore and define present problem situations, develop future goals for an improved life and work in a systemic fashion toward realizing these goals. I will facilitate an atmosphere of warmth and trust in which to establish rapport between you and myself. The objective of therapy is to establish therapeutic goals and implement a planned change in your life.
