Life gets messy. Whether you're navigating relationship struggles, feeling stuck in anxiety or depression, or dealing with the unexpected plot twists that come with parenting, marriage, or major life changes, you don't have to sort it all out on your own. I work with individuals, couples, and families in a way that is honest, practical, and rooted in compassion. I have been married for 23 years, raised two kids (one in high school and one in college), and I know firsthand how messy and beautiful life can be.

Many of us struggle on a daily basis with intrusive thoughts caused by traumatic memories, stress, shame, and/or loss of meaning and purpose. We are often left feeling anxious or depressed, angry, and disconnected from the world as we try to make sense of our experiences. If you're like most of us, you've likely learned to cope through addiction, codependency, and mental or physical illness. Yet, you're also keenly aware that your experiences have the potential to transcend pain by creating meaning. The search for meaning gives rise to understanding, and with understanding comes healing.

Some of my clients want solutions to immediate problems like becoming more calm and poised when performing.
Others want help stopping bad habits like worry, rumination, overthinking, emotional eating, porn or substance abuse.
Some want to start exercising or to sleep more soundly and restfully.
Others want to deal with stubborn, even lifelong problems that typical brief therapy approaches have not been able to resolve- they need deeper work, getting to the root of the problem/s dragging them down in life.
Whatever your goal, clinical hypnosis, can be an amazing treatment modality for the well-suited client.

I believe that our past experiences have dictated the way we react as a child, a teen, and an adult, a family or as couple with our current situation. Having a better understanding about why we do these things can create a lasting change on our perspective of life. Viewing your emotional pain as who you are continues to increase any and all symptoms. Guilt and shame start to set in and the struggle to get through life becomes unmanageable. Perhaps it's addiction, anxiety, bad relationships, or another mental health diagnosis. Perhaps you lost what you once believed you were living for.

Trauma and PTSD leaves us feeling broken, damaged, and disconnected from our true selves. It also often leads us to self-medicate with alcohol, drugs, or other substances. You're someone who takes care of others, but still finding yourself falling short, feeling exhausted and unsure what to do. You work hard and thrive in many areas of your life, yet peace escapes you, you feel empty and sometimes hopeless. But you are ready to make a change. You're ready to feel empowered and hopeful. You're ready to work hard and take your life back. My extensive training in trauma, EMDR and substance abuse will help you heal!

You and your partner love each other—but lately, it’s felt hard. Maybe you're stuck in the same arguments, feeling more like roommates than partners. Or perhaps life has thrown more at you than you ever imagined—addiction, trauma, infertility, loss, betrayal—and now you're wondering how to find your way back to each other.

I believe that our struggles with mental health can often make us think we are outside looking in. Different. Broken. The Black Sheep. When we learn how to change our view of our unique challenges or experiences, they can become strengths and lose their power over us. I have experience working with clients who struggle with multiple mental health concerns ranging from depression, anxiety, substance, and trauma to figuring out who and what their identity and purpose are as they make changes in their lives.

My ideal clients are individuals, couples, or families feeling disconnected or stuck in patterns that create distance, conflict, or confusion. They may be navigating intimacy, sex, trust, identity, or communication—sometimes within non-monogamous relationships, sometimes while healing from ruptures or rediscovering emotional closeness. They’re looking for a space where they can be honest, feel seen, and move toward deeper connection with themselves and each other. People don’t come to me to be "fixed"—they come because they’re ready to do something different, and they want someone who’s not afraid to be there with them.
