I've worked in the mental health field for over 23 years, serving in both the military and civilian settings. I specialize in treating unresolved trauma issues, as well as depression, stress and anxiety. Traumatic issues include childhood abuse (physical, sexual, emotional abuse and neglect), sexual assault (including military), crime/theft, car accidents, grief/loss, combat, first responders/medical professionals, veterans (including moral injury) and poor leadership. My experience has taught me that most of the time depression and anxiety are unresolved emotional wounds that haven't been fully addressed.

My specialty is assisting adult and teen survivors of trauma. I have an extensive history working in the public school setting with special needs children and at-risk youth. Additionally, I have experience in the criminal justice system with first responders, crime victims and recovering addicts. My services include post adoption therapeutic assistance for foster children, therapeutic guidance for crime victims, first responders, veterans and assistance to those seeking outpatient treatment for addictions. My ultimate goal is to help adults and children live more fulfilling and productive lives.

I enjoy working clients from diverse populations but I particularly enjoy working with individuals from hispanic backgrounds. Being hispanic in America is definitely a different experience and sometimes stressful and I help my clients navigate these things. Whether its interpersonal issues with family, friends, relationships, or work I give my clients the tools to navigate major life transitions.
