I work with people who carry pain that feels impossible to set down—whether from trauma, dissociation, attachment wounds, religious or sexual trauma, or struggles with identity and belonging. You may feel disconnected from yourself or trapped in patterns that don’t change, no matter how hard you try. My goal is to help you find relief and clarity, heal at the root, and move toward living authentically, with healthier relationships and a greater sense of peace and purpose.

Weeknights In-office Available. Are you seeking personal growth, healing, and lasting change? Perhaps you are in unknown spaces of your life, where transitions or change are calling you to shed what no longer serves you. Shame, anxiety, self-sabotage, and depression are often huge blocks in our lives. I work with individuals to cultivate a deep self-acceptance and self-connection so they may show up fully in their lives: empowered, balanced, calm, and standing in their truth. I offer a safe therapeutic space to illuminate the pathway to authenticity and healing. I also offer a deep understanding of emotional and narcissistic abuse.

If you’re reading this, you’re likely experiencing a tough time in life. I want to be there to make sure you don’t have to go through it alone. My approach focuses on guiding clients to confront and understand the difficult parts of themselves rather than trying to eliminate them. Whether dealing with trauma, marital conflict, or a child’s challenging behavior, I believe that meaningful change comes from learning to work with these 'difficult' parts. Every aspect of ourselves has a purpose, even if it no longer serves us. There is no such thing as a bad part of us. Together, we can explore these aspects to foster healing and growth.

I have experience and greatly enjoy working with: Polyamory/Non-Traditional Relationships, LGBTQ+, Eating Disorders, Body Image Issues, and Sexuality/ Kink.
I’m a therapist serving all of Texas. I’m mom to 2 pretty bad-ass teenagers, a best friend to several gorgeous people, and a partner (I’m polyamorous, and have two partners currently). My friends, family, clients, and partners are the most important things on the planet to me. I have several cats, who are terrible, and I love them. I am a Health At Every Size provider. Four things that always make me happy: good coffee, The Office, a good eyeshadow palette, and fresh hydrangeas.

Has sex become a bit of a sore subject? Maybe you're starting to get sexually frustrated or you feel guilty for not meeting your partner's needs. Or maybe you have an aspect of your sexual identity you'd like to explore more. You might be feeling disconnected-more like friends, co-parents or roommates instead of lovers. For most of us, sex is admittedly a sensitive area that can bring up insecurities or confusion. It can seem like we're supposed to know everything already, but that's not true. Whether it's low libido, trouble initiating or feeling "in your head" during sex, things can get better!

We all have innate worthiness and the power to change or recreate our stories. Life is sometimes messy and complicated. However, the “mess” can be a learning opportunity.. The mantra, “My pen, My story”, reminds us of our power to change and grow. We all have stories of our lives that we have created, and these can impact our daily experiences. How we speak to ourselves impacts us individually and in relationships with others.

Help relationships work together and support one another through a communication style that brings understanding to the relationship regardless of its design, including Kink dynamics and Swinger lifestyle.
It can be overwhelming to find the right therapist. Sharing your private life and struggles is difficult. Whether you are experiencing relationship conflicts, intimacy issues, sexual dysfunction or dissatisfaction, sexual identity struggles, uncertainty about the quality of your life, anxiety, depression, or any number of emotions, it can be challenging to know what to do and who to turn to. In my private practice, my role as your therapist is to work with you to face challenges, find solutions, and help improve your life. You will not have to do it alone. My website has more information.

You’ve been the rock for everyone else — pushing forward even when your tank is empty. It's the only way you know how to survive, and it's worked so far. Right? Carrying the weight of trauma, parenthood, anxiety, relationship struggles, childhood abuse, a thankless job and a dwindling sense of self-worth has left you feeling weak and drained. But you are so much stronger than you think. Strength isn’t stuffing it down/never needing help—it’s knowing when to reach for it. Counseling is your chance to lay down some of that weight, rediscover your resilience, and begin building a life that feels lighter, stronger, and truly yours.

First things first... You are not "broken"; there is not something "wrong" with you. Oh yeah, and you're not "crazy." We all develop views of the world and coping behaviors based on our life experiences. It's what your brain does naturally to help you adapt and survive! I enjoy helping my clients become aware of these skills and utilize them effectively. Simultaneously, I enjoy aiding clients in the development of new skills and tools to assist in places where the old ones just aren't working anymore.

I use a client-centered approach, incorporating IFS and EMDR, to help individuals and couples navigating a range of sexual issues, including pain and dysfunction, postpartum challenges, polyamory relationships, Kink and BDSM dynamics, as well as sexual and religious trauma.
Sex is an integral part of human connection and well-being, but can often be one of the most challenging aspects of relationships to navigate. I believe open, honest conversations are essential for a fulfilling, authentic sex life. As a Certified Sex Therapist, my goal is to help clients shift the negative or problematic beliefs that influence their experiences, opening up new possibilities for connection and pleasure, as well as build a sex life that is vibrant and empowered—and in turn, improve overall relationship satisfaction.

Are you overwhelmed, confused, or scared? Maybe anxieties from daily life, difficulty in relationships, or unhelpful thoughts or behaviors get in the way of living the fulfilling, authentic life you want. Sometimes some additional support can help us understand the many moving pieces in our lives and arrange them in a way that is not only manageable, but satisfying and enjoyable. As a queer person myself, I have a passion for helping LGBTQIA+ folks, young adults, and people from all walks of life facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or general dissatisfaction to manage their life in a way that brings joy, actualization, and peace.

Sex-Positive, Kink Allied Therapists

Why might an individual want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?

A sex-positive or kinky individual may want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist because the client may feel safer and more supported discussing their experiences and challenges. A therapist who identifies as kink-friendly will have experience with clients having diverse sexual preferences and will likely be nonjudgmental and supportive about issues brought to the table. It is important to note that sex-positive, kink-allied individuals may find equal success with therapists who do not have such specialized knowledge and background. The most important factor in the success of therapy is for the client and practitioner to form a strong, trusting bond.

Do therapists have special training to gain expertise in sex-positive, kink-allied treatment?

Generally, no. There are limited training programs and unofficial accreditations that therapists can pursue, but a therapist’s expertise will ultimately come from their previous experience with similar clients, their engagement with organizations that promote sex positivity or kink-allied lifestyles, and the importance they place on safety and cultural sensitivity.

How can individuals recognize a good sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?

An experienced therapist is able to help clients explore their sexual identity and expression and relieve any discomfort or stigma attached to discussing such matters and the client’s overall challenges. A therapist who is sex-positive and kink-allied is able to create an environment that honors a client’s experience and sexual preferences. To recognize a good therapist, clients can simply ask directly about topics and issues important to them and gauge their comfort level and connection with a clinician based on the responses.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist with a focus on sex positivity and alternative sexual lifestyles?

Some individuals may feel most comfortable knowing that the clinician they’re working with has a commitment to creating an atmosphere of sex positivity and has experience with relationship diversity and alternative relationship structures. Working with a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist may help clients respect their own challenges and improve identity-affirming treatment.
