In Person Therapists in Red Oak, TX
Now seeing clients virtually and in person.
People often come to counseling feeling exhausted from carrying something that hasn’t
gone away—anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship struggles, or ongoing life stress.
Sometimes people begin to wonder if they should be coping better than they are. I work
with adults and teens who want to reconnect with hope, resilience, and the parts of
themselves that may have become buried beneath the struggle. Together, we can build
practical skills and create a path forward that feels meaningful and sustainable.

I am currently doing telehealth sessions, but ask me about home therapy as well if you would like a face to face session and are in Ellis County, TX!
One of my beliefs is that people cannot truly love, or allow themselves to be loved in return, if we do not first find a way to love ourselves. Fundamentally, we can become wounded because of relationships, which in-turn, adversely affect how we interpret our own meaning and attachment to the world and others. However, as we grow in awareness and care for self, we can begin to heal in relationships just the same. This is accomplished by working through those past wounds which tend to manifest in and become the present behaviors and intentions that harm us and others.

In my work, I prefer to focus on what is happening right now to help you keep what is working and change what isn't... There are times we must remove some roots to help us move forward and we can do that in a safe environment. Working with a counselor who respects your values and life experience provides the potential for creating an atmosphere for growth further propelling the process of change.

I offer in person sessions.
Hi, I’m Teagan. I work with children (ages 8+), teens, adults, and families, and I count it a privilege to walk alongside people as they heal, grow, and begin or revisit counseling.
I’m especially passionate about supporting kids and teens through difficult emotions and life circumstances as well as women who are recovering from relationship trauma. It’s an honor to be part of your journey and to help create a space where you feel seen, safe, and supported.
I also have a heart for individuals with disabilities, including those with Autism, Down Syndrome, and intellectual or developmental differences.

I specialize in using play therapy with children and families. As a Registered Play Therapist and Certified Adlerian Play Therapist, I engage clients in creative play to help them manage a variety of challenges of their past, present, and future. As a TBRI Practitioner, I am equipped with techniques designed for children and their families who have faced trauma and attachment issues. As an LPC and CFLE (Certified Family Life Educator), my degrees in family studies (Ph.D.), elementary education (M.A.), theology (M.A.), and counseling psychology (M.A.) help me to see the big picture—supporting children, teens, parents, and families.

You’re exhausted from trying to repair your relationship alone. Infidelity, broken trust, or emotional disconnection has left you unsure what’s possible. You want structure, not confusion—accountability, not defensiveness—clarity, not guessing. I work primarily with couples healing after infidelity, and I also support individuals navigating betrayal who need space to stabilize and understand their next steps. You want emotional safety to express pain without being rushed, and support that guides you toward patterns that rebuild clarity, connection, and hope.

Do you feel like you and your partner have become more like roommates than a couple? Perhaps you're grieving a loss, dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic event, or are just looking for skills to communicate better, de-escalate arguments, or deal with perpetual-gridlocked issues. The good news is, whether you're looking for premarital classes, navigating the challenges of bringing a new baby home, or are working through the aftermath of an affair, I can help.

Appointments can be in person or Telehealth.
I enjoy working with people of all ages. My background is in education so I have spent most of my time with children and adolescents. But people deal with the same issues - conflict resolution, unresolved trauma, anxiety/stress, depression, suicide ideation, etc. Children are a bit less complicated because they see things in black and white, and they adjust to their environment a bit more quickly than adults. However, no matter the age, most people want to know they are safe and someone cares about what they need. When those two things are present, helping them navigate the twists and turns of mental health is much easier.
