I provide neuropsychological testing to children, adolescents and young adults to give an overview of cognitive abilities to determine individual strengths and weaknesses. These abilities include: Intellectual Functioning (IQ); Academic Achievement; Learning & Memory; Attention & Executive Functioning; Language & Phonological Processing; Visual-Spatial Skills & Visual-Motor Integration; Fine Motor Coordination; Adaptive Functioning; Emotional & Behavioral Functioning; Social Skills & Pragmatic (Social) Language. Using these results, I can help coordinate care with your child's other medical providers, suggest school recommendations (including IEP/504 Plans), and provide referrals to specialists and professionals that can help your child maximize his or her functioning and potential.

I am a clinical psychologist specializing in adult neuropsychological assessment. I completed my Pre Doctoral Internship at the Indiana Neuroscience Institute and Post Doctoral Fellowship with Neuropsychological Services, P.C., working closely with the Brain Injury Waiver Program through the Department of Human Services' Office of Rehabilitation Services. Post Doctoral work also included inpatient and outpatient evaluation and differential diagnosis of various psychiatric, neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. I served as Director of Neuropsychology for Benchmark Psychiatric Services, LTD, prior to founding The Neurobehavioral Group, PC. in 2012.

I work with a diverse array of clients, including active and retired military, police, and other first responders, as well as victim/survivors of trauma, chronic illness, substance use, and the LGBTQ+ population. I have skills for the variety of concerns that my populations encounter, including, complex PTSD, trauma, severe anxiety, adjustment, re-integration, communication, TBI/ABIs, phobias, substance use, and mood dysregulation. Most importantly, I work with clients that come how they are, how they can, and with everything they have.

MY GOAL: to promote mental, physical, & spiritual health for people at each developmental phase of life. Your struggles might include mood disorder or inefficient brain function. My broad-range experience: studied at Ohio State University under top-ranked professors in Counseling Psychology and brain injury. RESIDENCIES: Minneapolis VA hospital; Ohio State's brain injury rehab unit. 17+ years inpatient rehab neuropsychology experience at Baylor Rehab Dallas, Pate Rehab. 1990-95: Christian counseling & neuropsychology at Minirth-Meier Clinic. Adjunct Professor: LPC-level Counseling degree program at Dallas Theological Seminary.

I plan to work and incorporate holistic and integrative care with individuals, couples, and families by assessing and addressing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects. I am a genuine counselor meeting clients where they are and moving them forward towards growth and healing. I believe there is strength in human connections and encourage others towards the goals set in counseling.

Neuropsychological evaluations can be helpful at any age. Testing can identify a pattern of cognitive strengths and weaknesses and help guide in treatment planning.
