Life is too short to keep carrying the weight of trauma (PTSD) in your body. If you’re experiencing panic attacks, nightmares, anxiety while driving, or feeling like your past is interrupting your relationships, you’re not alone—you don’t have to stay stuck in it. Trauma has a way of showing up in everyday life, even when you’re trying your best to move forward. I specialize in helping clients heal trauma using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a powerful, evidence-based approach that works quickly to reduce distress and shift how painful memories are stored. Many clients experience tremendous relief in just a few sessions!

I support adults with relationship conflict, grief, acceptance, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, and trauma.
Combining clinical expertise with lived experience, I can effectively support interracial/multi-cultural or mixed neurotype relationships. You need a therapist that is equipped to handle the nuance of your situation. Typical communication techniques and traditional advice won't be effective unless the therapist acknowledges the intricate layers involved.

True relief does not come from forcing our symptoms to disappear. It comes from finally understanding why they showed up in the first place. Let's learn the language of what we are carrying. If you are exhausted from holding it all together and pretending you are fine, I am here to help you drop that heavy armor, calm your system, and find your voice.

Depending on your needs, I may also bring in tools from ACT or DBT to give you extra support along the way.
I work with teens, young adults, and athletes who feel constant pressure to perform in school, sports, or life. Many struggle with anxiety, stress, ADHD, or perfectionism, often feeling “put together” on the outside but anxious or disconnected within. As a former collegiate athlete and Licensed Professional Counselor, I help clients find peace, confidence, and purpose through evidence-based and faith-informed counseling tailored to their goals.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
